A Windows OS that runs on 32bits cannot use more 4GB, in fact it is closer to 3.3 GB. If you want to use more than 4GB you will have to install a Windows version that is 64Bits (Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7).

How can i convert 4GB pendrive to 8GB ...?

There is no way of doing this. If your pen drive is 4GB, that means it has only 4GB of memory chips in it. The only way to get 8GB is to buy an 8GB drive. Do not buy an upgraded (to 8GB) one, as they are lower memory ones that have had the firmware tinkered with to show 8GB, when the actual memory capacity is far less.

Memory installed is 8GB and only recognizes 3.6

LOL, did someone sell you more memory than your system will accommodate? You should take the memory back.

Compaq systems are know for not showing the total size of the memory but usually it's not off by that much. I think your system will probably only accommodate 4GB and they sold you 8GB.

Fuji s2 will not except 8 gig compact card, but is fine with a 3 gig

With how old that camera is it's not able to recognize all 8GB of the memory card, it will recognize, at most, a 4GB card which means you need 4GB or smaller compact flash cards.

My LG Neon is not recognizing the microSD? card. it says "not supported". the memory card itself is microSD HC 8GB. it currently has music on it. not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Hi,the music on the memory card has nothing to do with it,the problem is that the memory card is not supported by the phone, the phone uses a microSD card quite alright but the maximum SD card it supports is 4gb microSD card that is why the 8gb microSD card is not supported by the phone.
so i'll suggest you get a 4gb microSD card.

Take care

I have an 8gb san disk and a 4gb hp secure digital disc full of photos. I can't get my computer to open or even recognize either.

1. Have you tried another card reader?
2. Have you tried to read these on another computer?
3. Do you have a printer that has a card reader?
4. Perhaps all your USB ports are v1.1 and the inrerface requires USB 2.0, if so, try the USB ports in use by your mouse / keyboard.
5. Did you check [My Computer] to see if "Removeable Disk" is listed, perhaps as Drive E?

Memory card

I have looked at the specs for your camera and you should be ok, if you are using SD or SDHC memory cards. As far as the computer you are using to read the cards, not enough info. to comment on that. One possible way to see your pictures on the 4gb or 8gb cards on your computer would be to leave them in your camera. Use the USB cable and connect your camera to the computer. With your camera on it should recognize your card in the camera as a storage device at the least. Click on it and you should be able to manage them on your computer. Hope this helps.
