There are so many cat products available online; it's really hard to know how to choose. Cat furniture is similar to buying furniture for children; you want to make sure the products are made of good quality materials and safe to be around. Here are some useful tips that should help you make the right choices:
Good quality cat furniture will be made with natural wood. Avoid woods that have been treated or manufactured and likewise steer clear of cardboard based products. Some of these cheaper and inferior types of wood can be toxic and will harm your cat.
Take note of the weight of the product you are buying. Is it sturdy enough for your cat to really jump all over it? If small kids go near it to play with the cat, could it fall over and hurt someone? If it seems wobbly, don't buy it.
If your cat furniture has carpet, check to see if it's real carpet or fake fur. Real carpet is better quality and lasts much longer. It should be stapled down, much like regular upholstery and not glued down.
