Cuisinart DCC-1000 shuts off on it's own

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble finding replacement water filters for your Cuisinart DCC-690 coffee maker.
After some research, it appears that the DCC-690 model does not have a specific water filter that is designed to fit it. However, Cuisinart does offer a universal water filter that can be used with any of their coffee makers.
The Cuisinart DCC-RWF replacement water filter is a universal filter that is compatible with all Cuisinart coffee makers that have a water filter. It is designed to remove impurities from tap water, such as chlorine, calcium, and other minerals, to improve the taste and quality of your coffee.
You should be able to find this filter on Cuisinart's website, or at a retailer that sells Cuisinart coffee makers and accessories. It is important to note that the filter should be replaced every 60 days, or after brewing 60 pots of coffee, whichever comes first.

The machine is designed to shut off after the brewing cycle after a period of time which you can manually set anywhere from 0-4 hours. Check your setting to make sure that it is set for a reasonable amount of time for you. We have the user manual at the link provided: DCC-1200 Manual. If you run into more issues with the auto off there might be a problem with the board in your machine. If that is the case you will have to call Cuisinart directly to get a repair auth for the machine.

Hello FloydBob, The Cuisinart DCC-1200 has the ability to program the auto-off function that keeps your coffee warmer plate on after brewing is complete.

The unit lets you select the time increments from zero up to 4 hours.

See page 6 of the attached manual for the full instructions for reprogramming the coffee maker.

To program the Variable Auto Off:
1. Turn the FUNCTION KNOB to the “Auto Off”
position. Press and hold the “Hour” button
for 2 seconds. The clock display will start
blinking.
2. Program the coffeemaker to shut off from
zero to four hours after brew cycle is
finished by using the “Hour” and “Minute”
push-buttons.

I figured you might also like to have a complete instruction/owners manual so you can have access for any other questions you might have about your coffee maker, in the future.

Unplug it for 20 minutes or longer to reset.

Turn the function knob to Auto Off
Hold down the hour button til you see the clock display blinking
you can then use the Hour and Minute buttons to program how long you want the coffee maker to stay on.
You can choose from 0 minutes (seems to be what you have it set on now) to 4 hours.

See post on Cuisinart customer service. The tube can be purchased at Lowes. Clear vinyl 1/2" O.D., 3/8" I.D. The compression clamp will have to be replaced as well.
I used a 1/2" hose clamp available at any auto parts store.

Just bought a DCC-1200 from Goodwill for 4.95. Looks brand new. Would heat up and sputter but nothing comming through to the pot. Removed botton with T-10 torx driver. Remove hose with check valve in it. TYou can squeeze the hose about an inch down and feel it to determine which hose its in. Pushed the valve out with a screw driver over a towl so if the little ball fell out I wouldnt loose it. There was a small wad of yelllow paper clogging the valve. Removed it. Reassembled and it works great.
