One day we had channels 2 thru 73, now we have 2 thru 25, and none of the 2 thru 25 are the same as they were when we had the 73 channels. We have tried to program all channels again, but have been unscuccessful. We do have Comcast Basic Cable, and our other TV (not a Philips) has not had any problems. Someone told us we have it locked up, but we have no idea how to unlock it or if that is the correct problem. Can anyone help, or can you tell me how to download a manual for our Philips 27PT5445 27" TV. Thank you.
It sounds like your tuner mode has been changed. To change this back to cable hit menu arrow down to install, then arrow down to tuner mode and change that to cable. That should take care of your problem, if not email me at [email protected]

You might want to check your remote battery.
It is possible that:
1. The battery is bad, correct it by simply replacing it with a new one.
2. If the battery is okay, check the battery connectors or terminals in the remote. If it is rusted, try get a sharp object and clean it before reconnecting the battery
3. If none of the above solutions correct your problem, then you may want to get a new remote control
If none of the inputs (or most) are missing the set may need to have a reset of some type done to it--If a Samsung look thru the owner manual and then call Samsung customer service with the full model number.
Go into the setup menu and do a channel search again selecting digital and analog channels. Then change the input type to cable and you should get your channels back.
If you plug into the PA input or inserts of this unit, that DISCONNECTS all the mixing channels within this unit and none in this unit will work. That is how it is supposed to work.
If you wish to use another mixer as well as the channels in this, I suggest you run the other mixer into one of the stereo channel inputs OR the CD inputs, although the CD are NOT balanced inouts and subject to higher noise level.
In the Menu go to manual channel set-up not auto. When you're in manual set-up change channels until you get to to L-1 and L-2 (should be below Ch 2) and save both to memory. On some TV's the L-1 and L-2 are selected with a separate button labeled "input". .
Do you know where your remote is?I have had it where it would do that for days and then I would find my remote was wedged into my chair somewhere and when I sat down it would press a button.Either that or check the wires in the remote and TV.For the changing channels do you look at your remote when you press buttons to switch channels? There is a common button, which, when pressed, will surf through all of your tv's channels.
1ST) see if the power is being turned off on the machine from the power source.Do you have a time screen? A screen that tells the time, is it blinking ? You could have a loose connection to the AC plug. Does the machine have a "back up" memory battery ?
2nd) Sound on only 2 channels thru VCR is a circuit problem.
On a Motorola AXU Series (including the 4100): 1. To unlock, press the “D” button for about a second or until the circle is gone. The circle with the line thru is the keyboard lock indicator; 2. To change channel, you need to press either the arrow left or right in Normal Mode; 3. To change PL (assigned to a channel), don’t think this can be done by the user 4. To change Ch. 1 from 464.500 MHz (PL-67.0) to 463.525 (PL-136.5), don’t think this can also be done by the user.
Even the built-in Programming Mode Parameters do not have this option to change assigned frequencies and PLs. An external programming software using a PC may or may not allow this.
These radios came pre-loaded with its channels assigned with specific frequencies/PLs. As used in a Motorola AXU411, they are:
take the batteries out of the remote...now check if you can change channels manually on the big screen.
if so the remote is stuck on one signal that channel u said. get a new remote.
if still same trouble on big screen look hard at the buttons and make sure none are jammed.
also try to get to your setup menu and auto-program the channels it should search everything and then try changing channels.
new stuff alot times plugs come loose, goes back to the factory workers...not pushing them tight
have a tech check that at your home.
