Pioneer sd-p50a5-k remote does not work on tv

We replaced the batteries and it seems to work on the dvd or vcr using other buttons that was programed but I cant get it to work on the tv which it was made for. Is there a way to test the remote circiut on the tv to see if it is the tv or the remote. I was told that the code projection tv's use is a 3 digit code and that most universals use a 4 digit code. I was told the code for mine is either 300 or 013 is this true. the tv works great but is a pain with out the remote. the buttons work good on the front of the tv but I can't switch ant's a or b that way. any help would sure be appreciated

The code will vary depending on the maker of the universal remote control. Purchase a universal remote as they are usually around 15 dollars and try it out. Make sure Pioneer TV's are on the list.

Remote menu button not working

Sometimes you can enter a code that will work nearly all the buttons, but is not the correct code for your DVD player. You should try other codes. But sometimes a universal remote will NOT work every function.

Big Button Remote Control

This is because you did not use the right remote code. Try trying different codes and test different functions with your recorder. Try searching on the Pioneer wesbite for remote codes. I would get the codes for you, but I don't have your model number so I can't. You can search for them yourself or comment back informing me of the model.

Hope this helps :)

Why Am I Unable To Program The RCA Remote Control To Operate My Components

Why am I unable to program the RCA remote control to operate a component? Why am I unable to program the RCA remote control to operate a component? If you are unable to program the remote control to operate a component, review the following information:

Compatibility
If none of the programming procedures work, the universal remote control may not be compatible with your components, based on the type of infrared technology and the age of the components. Some RCA universal remote controls will only work with components manufactured after 1990.

Distance
If you are testing the remote control after you have entered a code, you may be too far away from the component or you may not have the remote control aimed directly at the component. Because the remote control uses infrared (IR) technology to communicate with components, there must be an unobstructed path between the remote control and the IR sensor on the component.

Code Entry Methods
If the Direct Code Entry method was used to enter the codes for your brand and the unit is still not functioning properly, try one of the automatic code search methods instead. During automatic code search, the remote searches for the correct code to program.

Modes
For the remote control to know which component you wish to operate, you must put the remote control in the correct mode by pressing the corresponding component button.

Combo Units
To program the remote control to operate combo units, such as TV/VCR’s, TV/DVD’s, or TV/VCR/DVD’s, use the combo codes in the Code List to program the individual corresponding component buttons. Once programmed successfully, the TV button controls the TV functions on your unit, and the DVD or VCR button controls the DVD or VCR functions, respectively. The codes in the combo section should be tried first, using the Direct Code Entry method on the TV and DVD or VCR buttons. If this is unsuccessful, use one of the Code Search methods to program your combo unit.

Batteries
Make sure the batteries are new and properly installed.

Can this TV be used with Nintendo WII video games without damage to the screen? 1997 pioneer SD-P50A5-K

Yes, assuming you are using the included composite video / stereo audio cable with RCA jacks. The output would be 480i and the set would handle it the same as it would any other signal at the same resolution and refresh rate. If you mean damage to the front of the screen because of losing control of a remote, then it doesn't matter what model of TV you use. :p

Tv codes

Hello, Well I have a Phillips universal remote but but maybe they are the same. For the Orion TV try 105, 115, or 713. For The Pioneer DVD Try 042. If one or more does not work, Look for a "code Search" button. Turn on the device, then push and hold down the code search button until the red indicator stays on, then release the search button. Press and quickly release the desired mode button (TV, DVD, etc). The red indicator blinks off once. . If it is a tv or vcr use the channel up button until the channel changes. Press the power button on DVD and see if it is right Hope this helps.

No audio or video

Hi,

If you can see the channel number as well as the volume setting when you press on the appropriate buttons on the remote, then it would seem that what happened is that your TV went into muting (video and audio). This can only be brought about if the TV is not receiving any signal from your cable or aerial. This is a built-in feature. Another possibility is that the tuner section of the TV has some issues. To determine whether cable or tuner, pls try installing a known operational VCR and play a good tape. Connect the RF OUT of the VCR to the CABLE/ANT IN of the TV. Select channel 3 or 4 and should you be able to watch the tap video, then you have just confirmed that it is your cable (or aerial). If on the other hand there is likewise no display on either 3 or 4, then you have just confirmed that somethings needs to be done internally in the tuner section.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
