Question about JVC KD-AVX2 Car DVD Player

JVC KD-AVX2 new installation will not power up

I just bought a JVC KD-AVX2 I have powered it up before connecting speakers, amp etc. When the constant HOT is connected it makes a clicking sound and the power light dimly flashes When I turn on the Ignition, the flashing stops and the power light shows as if its on, but the clicking continues. With the illumination wire plugged in I have no lights etc. The unit does nothing but the above... Am I missing something or is this unit DOA? Thank You LFM

Your set could have damage after powering it up and connecting speakers.have the tech repair it.good luck.

When I eject the CD it ejects but when I turn the key to my KD-AVX2 does not work
there is no power on the red wire of the unit when you turn the key to acc on your car. check all the fuses on your car

Jvc kd-g340 rear speakers not working. I recently bought the car with this unit installed. I noticed that there is a l/r cable, power, ground in the trunk which means there was probably a subwoofer...
check the wires in the back of the stereo if not then make sure the back speakers are not hooked up to a internal amp and if it is make sure that it is not blown

Can it play dvd+r
I'm not sure after reading owners manual...page 59 refers to writable/rewritable disks have to be finalized to play. Here's a link to your JVC KD-AVX2 manuals.

Usually it's....

black = ground
red = switched battery power
yellow = constant batery power (for clock...etc)
orange = illumination
blue = amplifier turn on or accessory (electric antenna, amps etc)

green/white/purple/grey are speaker wires.

Here's the wire colors for your KD-AR560:

Black = Ground (to vehicle chassis)
Yellow = Constant 12V (power)
Red = Accessory (to vehicle accessory terminal)
Blue/White = Remote turn-on lead (to remote amp)
Orange/White = Illumination (to vehicle light control switch)
Brown = Cell Phone terminal
White = Left Front Speaker positive (+)
White/Black = Left Front Speaker negative (-)
Gray = Right Front Speaker positive (+)
Gray/Black = Right Front Speaker negative (-)
Green = Left Rear Speaker positive (+)
Green/Black = Left Rear Speaker negative (-)
Violet = Right Rear Speaker positive (+)
Violet/Black = Right Rear Speaker negative (-)

Yes, You will need an Amp for this Settup. Check the Rated Power of the Subwoofer and Get an Amp that will Supply this amount of Power. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

hi. if you have standard slot for head unit this stereo will fit with any problems.jvc just look like a biger but is not.the frames all smool.sorry my language is poor!have a nice sound

Display loses power

Verify the yellow wire that comes out from the back of the unit(the small plug on the left of the back of the unit).This wire usually not stay in the plug.

My l/o works but my speakers running from head unit does not
You have to find the subwoofer setting on your head and turn it all the way up.
