TV - DVD Hookup

I bought a new DVD player for a pretty old RCA television. The DVD player came with the red/yellow/white cables to hook up. The colors were pretty self explanatory, but I cannot get the DVD display screen to come up. I tried many different channels, but no luck. All I get is snow.

Use another tv and see what it does if it works on the other that is to say that your tv is defected in the video circuit.if the dvd does not work on the other tv then your dvd is not functioning. then it is time to call in the tech, good luck.

How to hookup Sanyo DVW-6100 to a Sylvania tv

If the Sylvania tv is a CRT (old style tube tv) you can just use an RCA cable and hook it into the composite video. It will be the cable that has a red, white and yellow connectors on it. The yellow is the video, the red is the right audio and the white is the left audio. Connect ones side of this cable to the output of the DVD/TAPE player and to the input on the TV side.

Dvd hookup

It sounds that you are connected the TV with DVD player Via AV cable. In this case, no RF channels won't go. You have to select its AV option. Check it. Refer the user manual for TV.

Trying to hookup a dvd player model #DX-DVD2

You need 3 RCA plugs... generally colored red, white, and yellow. on the back of the DVD player plug the yellow to video out, the red to audio out (stereo), and the white to audio out (mono). The other side of them goes to the back of the TV... the yellow video input 1, the red audio (R) input 1, the white Audio (L) input 1. Then take the cable service round coax cable and screw it into the back of the DVD unit where it says Coax. Get another short coax cable and hook to back of the DVD unit on Cable out, and the other side to the back of the TV under cable/vhs. And that"s it! Hope that helps you!

Have an RCA F27636BC TV. Can u hook a DVD player

How to hookup TV

If you have a TV with only a single coax input and you want to hook up components like DVD players and VCRs, here's how to do it.

What you need to connect your DVD player or game players to a TV that only has a VHF/UHF 75-ohm F-connector ("coax antenna input").

1.) RF Modulator with Stereo Audio Inputs.

2.) 6 foot long coaxial cable with male "F" connectors. This cable goes from the modulator to the TV. The modulator also has a coaxial input to plug in your antenna or your VCR.

3.) 6 foot long Video and Audio Cables with "RCA" plugs. The cables connect the yellow, red and white outputs from your DVD or game player to the yellow, red and white inputs of the modulator.

Works with X-Box, PlayStation, Nintendo or other devices that output audio/video via the RCA plugs and you want to connect them to your coaxial only TV.

Lcd tv hookup

Ive got 3 samsung tv's (lcd, plasma, DLP) and I use HDMI cables on all of them. Its the only way to get the full potential out of the tv. When you use the red/white/yellow RCA cables the signal is anolog aka "old technology". Component cables are good but HDMI is the best. HDMI is a digital signal and thats what all the components that go with the tv should be run on. If your dvd player does not have an HDMI output I would suggest getting one that has that output. As for the cable box most require you to upgrade to digital cable in order to get one with an HDMI output. If you dont want to spend the money on new components and run what you have now the picture will stay mediocre at best. Good luck hope this helped

Hookup

very simple , just made sure dvd output hooked to the input of your tvs and same color ,jack to jack, you know, yellow to yellow, red to red ,white to white. But I suggest you use a s-video jack(all black). instead of the yellow composite ,or RCA jack, which give you a better picture, and if you have a the component jacks (red, blue , green)on both machine , that will give you the best picture, but remember , you still have to connect the red(right channel,+))and white(left channel,-)cable to have sound coming out from your tv.You will need a s-video cable or component cables for those option I suggested.
