I have a jvc gr dvl520u video recorder. I can't get it to power up or charge. It's plugged with the proper JVC adapter, but it won't turn on and the charge light doesn't come on
This is usually caused by a failed component in the power circuit within the camera and can usually be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired qualified service technician.

I pulled out the battery after it was frozen for a few hours. After that it stopped holding a charge or booting up. Help!
I've tried taking the battery out. I replaced the battery with a brand new one. Still, the charge light won't come on. I've bought a new charger. Still, no charge.
I know the light works because my old battery still has a little charge on it and the charge light comes on when I turn the camcorder on.
JVC GR-D70U Camcorder won't turn on or charge. No charge light, no nothing. Not aware of any physical damage. Last worked 3 weeks ago, it had been plugged in the whole time since then in off/charge mode.
Just as the others state, my camcorder is dead with the battery or on the charger, with no known event to cause it to do so. I tried cleaning the gold contacts on the battery to no avail.
