Try using a small pin to trip the micro switch that is located at the top of the card door. This switch is a little dodgey if it doesn't make correct contact the camera will turn on but the screen won't display. Did it woth mine and worked after that.

LG Screen M227WDP shows only white screen with a version number

Well as you have only had it a few months, SEND IT BACK ( LG does not mean Lifes Good, in the trade we say LG=Lotta Garbage) There have been quite a few chip failures in this model, It should be recalled. Do a warranty call and get it replaced.

MY IPOD 32G TOUCH JUST QUIT WORKING

you can try and restore it. remember it will clear everything from your ipod but you can resync them later after restoration, to restore:
make sure you have itunes running and have access to the internet.

hold down the power/sleep button and the home button at the same time, the ipod will go dark, once it goes dark release the power button while still holding down the home button, and itunes and a usb cable icon will show up.

you might have to do this several times before those icons show up since your screen does not even light up.

now connect the ipod to your computer and itunes should recognized the ipod and follow the instructions to restore your ipod. it will take some time but it worth the wait.

gODD LUCK HOPE IT WORKS.

Screen light wont work on Nokia 6288

Ok, here's what I did. I followed this video on Youtube (it says 6280, it works exactly the same with 6288)to disassemble my 6288 (same problem, backlight on the display wouldn't work most of the time) and I finally found there was some leeway on the metal housing that keeps the display in place (so you only need to take out the display over to sort this out). I solved it by putting some bent paper on top of the lower left corner of the metal housing and putting the front cover back in place. Now it gives me no problem at all. I hope this will help you too.
And, to all of those talking about bringing it to the repairman... come on, 6288 disassembly is quite simple (you don't even need the Torx screwdrivers but to get the main board out). Don't make it something more difficult that it is.

I CHANGED THE COVER (6131) AND NOW MY SCREEN GET OUT FROM ORDER

your screen dosnt display anything?I am not quite sure what your asking but ill take a crack at it anyway.you changed the housing and when you put the phone back together the lcd stoped working,if this is the case you either disconnected your lcd or you damaged the flex cable to the lcd, either way you need to open your phone back up just the top part where the lcd is,you should beable to see the flex cable coming from the phone to the lcd if it looks connected disconect and reconnect and try it if this does not work you may need a new flex cable wich means that you may have to get a whole new keypad cause the flex cable usually only disconnects from one side, well good luck

Problem

Two things to try...
A) If you have a card with some photo's on it then put it in the camera... Will the camera display the photos from the card in view/play mode? If so then the screen is working but the sensor in the camera may have died (the but that captures the image).
B) Try taking a picture with the camera (go through the steps to take one even though you can't see anything on the screen). Then put the memory card in a reader or a friends camera and see if the picture did get taken. If so then the sensor is still okay and the fault may be with the display.

If the display will show images from the memory card but doesn't show anything when in picture-taking mode but the camera does take pictures then the camera has a fault that isn't either the sensor or the LCD. It could then be an electronic failure or a problem with the mode selection switch.

Hope this helps to figure it out.

Cheers,
TS

Motorola V3 display

I just experienced this today. Phone was fine last night, pulled it out of my pocket this AM to find the colors like a negative, and text characters in reverse. I googled this "motorola reverse image" and only a couple of posts like yours exist. I powercycled it and it came back up OK... --Ken
