1. In Set Up you must select the language you want to use by highlighting it then PRESS OK. If you don't do this then the date/time will not set. 2. When asked to set date and time you must select YES and press OK. 3. After completing each step you must press OK. 4. In the final step you must choose your preferred day/month/year display and then press OK. If you don't press the OK button at each step the date and time will not set.
Let me see if I'm understanding the question. You set the date and time and go ahead and use the camera shut it off and go to use it again and you need to set the date and time again. If so you need to replace your cameras internal battery it's about the size of a watch battery and can be done real cheap.
I think there's another factor that shuts down your system not the date. Check your micro HDD if properly inserted maybe something is wrong with it and the socket also the door that covers the Micro HDD and Battery has a switch, failure of such can lead you to this symptoms. Otherwise there's a problem with it that you need an expert to check. Good Luck
hi try to reset ur camera...To do such reset, turn on the camera and hold the menu button down for longer than 5 seconds. A message should hopefully come up on your LCD asking if you want to reset the camera. Select Yes... thank u!!! rate me!!
Hi there, been playing around trying to get camera going,as i took apart (easy enough, if you can handle a watch repair screwdriver) what i did find seems to be a standard watch battery located bottom left next to speaker. Pretty sure if you replace this, it should solve your problem. Just be carefull when taking out ribbon cable!
I cannot help you but I have another problem which I want to tell to the world. My camera is OK but it does not work on Klik 8000 accu's. I told Kodak about this problem but because the garanty is over, I have to pay the costs of reparation. On the internet I read that this is a mistake of the 812 is. I think that someting has gone wrong with this type. Every time I change the battery I have to reset date and time, but further without problems. Please ask Kodak torepair your new camera. Good luck
According to Canon, the backup memory lithium battery (interal) recharges off the main AA batts that you put in... the manual says it takes about 4 hours to charge this battery. When not in use, leave the AA batts in the camera .. see if this helps keep the date/time memory! K
