There are control buttons on the side of the monitor. Are you sure you have pushed the button to power the monitor on?
If so, this is the troubleshooting step for No Image on that monitor:
No Screen Image
• Make sure monitor is turned on.
• Make sure the video cable is securely connected to both the monitor and PC or
Audio/Video apparatus.
• Make sure you have selected the correct video input source
• Adjust the brightness and contrast levels.

Monitor says no signal and will not run a dvd

It could be a couple of things. If this monitor is hooked up to a computer, it could be a bad video card. A video card is easily fixed on a desktop, if you're using a laptop you're probably out of luck.

If it's hooked up to a DVD player, check that the cord to the monitor is hooked up properly (make sure the connection goes from the "Video Out" on the player to the "Video In" on the monitor and that all connections are tight, not barely hanging on). If that doesn't work, try a new cable.
This is probably insulting, but also make sure that the monitor is set to the right channel if it's multichannel. For example, if your DVD player is hooked up to HDMI 2, make sure the monitor is set to use HDMI 2 for signal.

If none of these work, it's time to find a tech-happy friend that can inspect everything visually. Hope that helps!

I am trying to hook up a 500 mhz computer and use the tv as the monitor. the plud and play driver brings it up on screen, but I can't seem to get the whole normal picture for windows on the screen and...

right click on the background of your destop and select properties. go to the settings tab and change the screen resolution till the picture is normal size. there is a box to select to make my default monitor which will move your windows bar from the computer monitor to the tv.

My monitor show a picture for about 3 seconds and the n goes blank

Try a 2nd monitor on the cpu and see if the same thing happens. If the same thing happens then the video card is bad on the computer. If you hook up the 2nd monitor and everything is working then you know the original monitor is bad.

To me with the picture showing and then going out like that, that tells me there is a problem with the lcd itself but to replace that would be more then the cost of a new LCD.

I hooked up my new acer p191w to my dell laptop 1525.HELP!

Not sure what the problem is, but I would suggest pressing the Fn+F5? There is a function key that toggles from dual screen, just the laptop screen or just the monitor. Hope that helps..

Connecting lap tops to monitors...

Try connecting a mouse and keyboard to the laptop and then start it with the top closed. Not sure if this will work on your model, but it works on a lot of laptops. This should force the PC to use your external monitor as the primary one.

Monitor too bright

Your video card (or driver) is probably to blame.
Try hooking a new monitor up to the computer to test this.
If so, try the advanced settings in control panel. Many cards give you the ability to manually alter the picture.

If that doesn't fix it, replace the card.

Yellow hue

Hi,

My name is Todd and I'm with Dell's online outreach group.  Have you tried hooking that monitor up to another system to see whether it's the monitor itself or the system causing the problem?

Is the color distortion always there, or is it only happening at certain times or with certain applications or programs?

Let me know if you're able to try this monitor on another system, or another monitor with this system.  If not, we can try a few different things to test it.

Thank you,

Todd

Everything has a yellow tinge.

Have you tried giving it a good tap on the side? Hey its worked before. Have you tried hooking it to another machine to verify "yellow." Was it yellow on your friends computer? How old is the monitor? Good Luck, Tim
