Error code F3 indicates faulty oven temp sensor. I have located the part but am unsure of how to install it. Apparently the inner oven liner has to be removed. Any help relative to disassembly procedure appreciated. Thanks in advance.
The oven sensor pulls out once you remove the mounting screws. There is a plug to disconnect, just push and pull to dislodge any insulation and it will come thru the hole.

Hi - Typically error code F3 indicates a faulty sensor probe or wiring harness between sensor probe and EOC. Try resetting the range by unplugging it or flipping the circuit breaker off for two minutes (this usually will clear most false error codes). Turn on the range and if resetting the unit proves to be ineffective, I would recommend contacting a professional to move forward accurately.
Hi
F3 Error indicates a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

I'm also getting an F3 code with alarm & unable to use my oven. If it is the oven sensor I have no idea how to get to it. If I take off the back panel of the range will I be able to see it? I wanted to do this myself as my husband is too busy but I haven't a clue what I'm doing. Sure could use some help if anyone has some for me. Thanks.
I have a Maytag MER5770aaw oven and I'm getting the F3 code. Is it the same thing in that my oven sensor is bad. The code comes on my display with an alarm & the oven won't work. If that's the problem how difficult is it to replace the sensor. I know nothing abou this at all & my husband is too busy to do it so I wanted to do it myself. If I take off the back panel of the oven will I be able to see where it goes & get to it or do I have to go deeper into the oven? I can use all the help I can get. Thanks.
