Remote is not working

You were attempting to perform a power scan initially. The second procedure is manually attempting to address the remote to your TV. I will give you the procedures again so you can try one more time. Emerson TV is one brand we have a low percentage of success getting our remotes to work. If it still doesn't work, we could try replacing the remote.

TV code: 623, 667, 666, 233, 516, 537, 544, 642, 655, 699, 000, 999, 888, and 720.

Remotes: Basic (Television Only)

1. Turn the Television On.
2. Press and hold the clear TV button for six seconds until the LED flashes.
3. Enter the three-digit code using the buttons on the number pad.
4. Press #. Note: The LED will flash three times.
5. Test functionality with the TV.
6. Return to Step 2 if the remote is not able to turn the TV On/Off, change the volume and mute the television.

Remote Power Scan: Basic Remote (Television Only)

1. Turn the Television On.
2. Press and hold the clear TV button for six seconds until the LED flashes.
3. Press and release the red TV Power button.
4. Press and release the Up or Down Arrow on the remote until the television turns off once every second.
5. After the television turns off, press and release the # button.
6. Test functionality with the TV.
7. Return to Step 2 if the remote is not able to turn the TV On/Off, change the volume and mute the television.

Hello!!!! Here are some codes and the process of programming your remote to the tv. It is very quick and simple!!

1. Hold down the clear TV button until all lights light up at the top of the remote
2. Punch in a 3 digit code (provided below)
3. Press the # (POUND) button
4. Try powering the tv on/off, and the volume. If one or more of these functions do not work, start over from step 1 with a different code

swith the "mode" button (on the top) to the directv symbol(the first one) the tv will still work in that mode.

My TV does this too. i know how to remove the white screen but the top will still have power only vo4.52.00 to get rid of the white screen press 'return' on your TV remote (not direct tv remote) then change the input pack to whatever it is it needs to be on to watch your (whatever)

With the TV turned on. Press and hold the white TV button at the top of the remote until all four light come on at the top of the remote. then press the power button once now start pressing the the up arrow button slowly until the TV turns off then press the # button the TV button will flash Three time your ready.

Program the RCA remote with the instructions below, this will tell us if the problem is with the remote or the tv.

1. Turn tv on.
2. Press and hold tv button on remote
3. While holding tv button press and hold power(on/off) button, led light shold go off then back on after a coupke of seconds.
4. Release both buttons.
5. Aim remote at tv and press the power(on/off) button every 5 seconds until tv turns off.
6. When tv turns off press the stop button at bottom of remote, that will lock in the code.
7. Turn tv back on with remote and test all buttons.

If you are trying to use a Dish Network remote control, then you are probably out of luck. Most Dish remotes do not have remote codes for TV/DVD or TV/VCR combos. There are just too many codes out there to put into one remote control. I'm sure they tried to walk you through a code search (hold the TV button down, etc.), so if it didn't show up then, then you are probably stuck with using two remotes or adjusting manually.

If they didn't try a code search, then try this:

Turn the TV on manually. Then, press and hold the clear TV button at the top until all the buttons at the top turn red, then release. Press and release the TV power button (the smaller red power button), and press the channel up button. Repeatedly press and release the channel up button about once a second until the TV turns off by itself, then press and release the # button at the bottom right hand corner of the remote, and the TV button will flash 3 times, confirming that it took the code. Press and release the clear SAT button at the top left, and then you should be good to go.
If the TV never turns off during the code search, and the TV button at the top of the remote flashes a bunch of times everytime you press channel up, then there are no more remote codes. The remote does not have the code for your TV.

there are different ways to try to get it to work, you could:

A. press the TV button on the remote before you touched anything else.
B. it really depends on the model remote you have, if its a universal remote you may have to enter a code in before you use it, (which should be in the remote manual) (note: different brand TV's will have different codes)
C. press TV on the remote and turn the TV off using the power button on the remote only. then turn it back on using the power button solely on the remote, this may connect the TV to the remote.
D. some remotes may have you hold down a certain button for a few secs before it will sync up.
When in doubt refer to the manual for the remote.
