The First step in this would be to Check the Ohms Limit in the Manual and Compair to the Ohms on the Speakers that you are running and the Ones that came with it. Usually when you By the "Kit" the Speakers are Factory Matched with the Reciever. Let me Know!

You might want to clean the exisiting potentiometer with dielectric solvent. This might work without having to replace the Pot. But if you have to replace it, make sure you have the correct tools. This is a fine soldering job, but it appears you have the correct part.

The bass pot's / controls are notorious for becoming dry jointed, all that is usually needed is the controls resoldering.

Without knowing what model Toshiba you have I have to guess that it has an audio output on it. If it does then you connect the audio out on the Toshiba to the TV/VCR in on the Pioneer with a red and white audio RCA cable. Next you do the same for your cable box. Once again not knowing what model cable box I have to make assumptions. Connect your audio output on the cable box to where it says aux IN on the Pioneer with a red and white audio RCA cable.

My tv keeps accessing menue randomly. will lower volume, change channel etc without any input from me. have changed batteries in remote etc. seems to be internal problem

A few years ago, the Bush and Hitachi standard TV's had this problem. After a long consultaion with the technical bods we put it down to flourecent lamps. That includes energy saving lamps as well. To cure it we fitted a fine wire mesh over the sensor's window inside the set. That reduced the sensitivity enough to stop it.

To prove this, place a piece of black tape over the remote sensor. If it stops then either the remote control is ramdomly transmitting or a light is upsetting it.
If it still does it you have dry joints in or around the sensor.

Hope this helps.

Tv is stuck on aux

Push the "menu"button on the front of the unit. That will get you into the menus to adjust any setting, like caption, language (but that one is tricky if yours happenend to be set to a language you couldn't understand :P), brightness settings and the such are there too. The one you are looking for is "input", change THAT setting. with either volume up/down +/-, or channel up/down (+) (-). In the menu, change the "input" selection to cable or whatever you are trying to watch on the tv.

Hope this helped some, if so, please rate, thank you!

Have you used the remote that came with the TV to raise the volume? Often, when there is more than one remote, one of them is set too low and all you need to do is use the remote that came with the TV to raise the volume level. Good Luck!
