Open Question

Blinking clean light.

The washer completed a wash cycle and drained the water. Then it began to blink and now does nothing. The power is there as the different settings allow to be lit up, hwever the start button only blinks red three times when depressed. The green clean button blinks 6 times before a break then repeats. In the manual it only says to call a technician. I took the bottom covers off the pump area and found some broken glass. I cleaned it out and maually put water into the dishwasher. I press the cancel button and the washer will drain the water normally. The drain cycle will not end however and the green light blinks all the way through. If anyone could help it is much appreciated. Considering a service call is about 50-100 and the dishwasher is only worth about $200??? Thanks Russ

I just read this for the same problem: push sanitize, then heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, cancel, then open and close the door. It worked. The dishwasher is running correctly even as I type this.

SOURCE: Red blinking light over normal wash

I had the same problem... the lock on light was blinking continuously. The solution required disassembling the door to get to the control panel electronic board. You'll notice a flat transparent cable coming out of one end, twisting under the board and going into the door panel. In the middle of the door, there's a number of wires taped together that curled over the flat cable. Look for any black tape residue on the flat cable, which seemed to be causing a short circuit and confusing the electronics. After carefully removing the tape residue from the flat cable, the problem went away.
Hope this helps :)

SOURCE: Dishwasher not responsive, just a blinking CLEAN light.

HI, this is a control fault that is located in the logic sector of the circuit board. You will need to replace the control in order to restore proper function.

SOURCE: blinking clean light, will drain with cancel button, wont wash

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. If the clean light flashes, pauses, and then repeats. When the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it stops working and locks the functions (clean light flashes, all buttons are non responsive). It does this as a safety in case the element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water.

To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence...

-high temp wash

-heated dry
-high temp wash
-heated dry

Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Hi

If clean light is blinking then it may be an issue with heater circuit, door switch or wash pump, please reset the power to the dishwasher. After, 5 minutes check if you are still getting the same error. If yes, then it is a water heating fault. To resolve this error try pressing this reset sequence-- Heat Dry - Normal - Heat Dry - Normal or High Temp - Air Dry - High Temp - Air Dry or Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry, Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry or High Temp Wash-Heated Dry-High Temp Wash-Heated Dry . Now let the unit run for 2-3 minutes and then you press the Cancel/Drain button and allow it to completely drain and reset. If this doesn't work then it's an issue with the wash pump not pumping the water past the heater efficiently or due to lack of water to heat. Please make sure that heater is not open circuited and is heating the water efficiently. You'll have to check the heater using a multimeter; the meter should read between 3000 to 3300 ohms (Use multimeter on Rx1 ohm setting). If heater is fine then make sure water pressure is optimum and fill valve is working fine. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Ran Cleaning Cycle, lights blinking w/ F- 21min alternating

f-21 is a blocked drain pump.remove the bottom panel,if you have a shop vac get all the water out, you'll see the pump and in the middle there's a piece that you can turn and pull out, first put towels under and around the pump to catch any water that leaks out, turn the part slowly and with your shop vac catch the water with the vac, take your time and open it little by little catching the water with the vac, when you get all the water out twist the middle part out and clean the catch and feel around in the boot and the pump and make sure you have it cleaned out.stick the middle piece back in and start the washer or you can fill it with a gallon of water and put it into a drain cycle and make sure it drains,if it doesn't you cooked the pump and have to replace it,let me know what you find and next time send the model number.

Washer will not spin or completely drain

you could have problem with door lock. or lid switch. this part senses if the door is close.
if it is not functioning, it would interpret it as an open door and will not spin.will not drain either.

tnx 4 using fixya,
