ViewSonic VX2235wm working fine on old computer, wrong on new

We switch from a Dell optiplex 320 to a 755. Monitor was working great on old computer. On the new computer is showing wrong colors (like purple) on the font. It is not consistent, it is changing colors in certain areas?
Check for drivers and they are all up to date

Under Device Manager three monitors show. Any ideas how to fix this?
    Thanks

The only thing different between the two computers is the Video card. Old computer had a ATI Radeon Xpress 1100, new one is Intel(R) Q35 Chipset Family. May be this causing the problem. I never had a problem with a plug and play monitor before. Totally new.

Highlight all monitors in the device manager, and uninstall all, when u restart it will say found new hardware, followed by, installing the software for your new hardware, that shoul solve your problem, it is not recognising the new monitor because there are 3 installed.

Viewsonic monitor vx2035wm goes black with a steady blue light on power button when the monitor is turned off or computer is restarted. Disconnecting it and letting it sit for a minimum of 24 hours makes...

I've been having the same problems with my Viewsonic.I plug it in and the blue light blinks but there's no picture it's just a black screen.I do know if Viewsonic doesn't repair my monitor I'll never buy anything from them again.I have the LCD Viewsonic 22' Vx2235wm monitor.
Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with mine?I've bought a new video cable & video card but the monitor still does the same thing? Thanks

Hi!

Its actually normal. That normally happens to some monitor models at the 6500K setting. Try a higher one.

I hope this helps.

Viewsonic monitor -- VX2235wm LCD

avintagedish, Possible problem w/unit power supply. Go trade it in on new a new wide screen so the electronics technician in the repair area of the store can (with a little luck) put less than $10 in parts into your unit and maybe have a nice VX2235WM to give to his 10 year old kid to play games on. I sure hope you have a valid warranty!! You should verify that VX2235WM does same at KNOWN GOOD pc!!! Swap-in a KNOWN GOOD monitor to prove pc is OK!!! Read my FIXYA profile and learn "flashlight test" for "rude an crude" test of "switch-mode-power-supply" status. Follow the links you find there to other web sites for more info. Check to see if ViewSonic has a cash+old swapout for factory refurbished unit for premature failed units! I'm lmistyrel over on aim. and 12fixlouie on FIXYA good luck in your quest to fix unit. It can be fixed. Just do your research FIRST! So you don't get ROOKED if you contract out the work. Read, read, and read some more!! Visit YOUTUBE for video clips of LCD monitor repair and disassembly. FYI.
Bye for now.

ViewSonic VX2235WM turns on than screen goes blank changed power cords cable cords viedo card cpu still same problem

The problem is most likely the monitor itself. Hook up an old monitor (usually someone has an old monitor laying around) if the computer works with another monitor you'll know for sure.
Look at your monitor using a flash light at an angle, if you can see a picture in the background you have a bad inverter.

Monitor shows on receiving signal, will not display image.

Hello,

The Viewsonic VX2235WM has a known issue with the power supply going out. The flashing power light or no picture is the classic symptoms of this issue. Check out our web site at: www.ccl-la.com. We have a step by step repair guide posted that will guide to doing the repair yourself. It involves changing a few capacitors on the power supply. If you can solder then you should be able to do the repair yourself. If you don't want to do the repair we do offer a repair service for $35 plus return shipping. If you have any additional questions just let us know at: [email protected]

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.
