These are for 4.9L

P016-generator voltage out of range--Voltage is below 10 volts or above 16 volts with engine at 500rpm.

P030-Idle speed control (ISC) out of range--Check ISC for operation

A047-very low A/C refrigerant condition warning--check refrigerant level

I039-speed sensing suspension (SSS) fault--this one requires a lot of testing. Could be anything from bad connection at a strut, to bad ground, to bad strut.

I041-battery voltage too low--at 800 rpm, voltage is less than 10.6 volts

I052-keep alive memory error--means IPC lost voltage, and reset. Normal if battery was disconnected, or lost voltage.

These codes are for 4.6L

I039-loss of road sensing suspension (RSS) data--might need to replace rss module

P016-generator voltage out of range--same as above.

If you need anything else, let me know.

2008 Jeep Liberty error code gate on dash and interior light will not turn off got new battery and still doing it

can i buy a comma? says vanna white?? LOL !
ok, the battery drains, so you got a DRAIN, called phantom drain.
or dark current.!!
we use a thing called an AMMETER (DMM) to find all drains, easy

do you have one, want to learn or just wanting wild guessing.

on any 08 liberty, we check the scan tool data.
oops it shows battery low, wow even the PCM sees that.

new batteries do not fix drain.
nor dead alternators.

get it serviced, by a pro. ?

1: charge battery (rested its 12.6vdc )
2: start engine, scan tool shows, what DTC errors (post em')
3: battery voltage is , 13.3, to 15vdc running, if not charge system is faulting.
4: ok all that is ok, i then key off and measure bettery cable neg lug drain current, if 0.010a to 0.040a its ok, if over 0.1 amps its a drain.
we then find the drain cause, ASK? its not hard with a meter.
but i bet all you wanted is a wild guess.

How do you find fault codes on a 91 cadillac deville

Turn your key to run (engine not running).
Press and hold the OFF and Warmer buttons on your A/C Heater Control Head.
All the segments will light up.
Look over at your FDC (Fuel Data Center).
Codes will be ran starting with E, then EE, then F, then FF and ending with .7.0.
The E codes are engine codes (current and history) and the F codes are body.

Air compressor on 1988 cadillac deville will not turn on. Have installed new electronic control module and we think that has gone bad. Cannot locate a new one? Any suggestions

2 fuses under hood fuse box. makes sure there good. under the back seat there is a fuse and a relay. The fuse box cover will tell you where they are. If all fuses are good and the relay is good. Then you will need the control module located behind the trunk cover lining on the right side or the air pump located under the car next to the right rear wheel. My bet is on the air pump...

HOW TO "ENTER" DIAGNOSTIC MODE OBDII

To enter diagnostic mode, proceed as follows:

1. Turn ignition "ON." Engine can be either OFF or RUNNING.

For cars equipped with the Digital Instrument Panel Display (Digital IPC):
2. Simultaneously press the "OFF and "WARMER" (red) buttons on climate control center (CCC) until all display segments (IPC and CCP) are illuminated

For cars equipped with the Analog Instrument Panel Display (Analog IPC):
3. Simultaneously press on the Climate Control Panel (CCP) the "OFF" and "PASS WARMER" (up arrow) buttons.

After the segment display test, the driver message center displays all set DTC, current and history, in the following order:

1. PCM DTC
2. IPC DTC
3. ACM DTC
4. SDM DTC
5. TCS DTC
6. PZM DTC
7. IRC DTC
8. RFA DTC
9. CCP DTC
10. MSM DTC
11. MMM DTC
12. PHN DTC

The RSS, CCP, MSM, MMM and PHN DTC appear only on vehicles equipped with these options. Press the FAN DOWN button in order to bypass the DTC display.

On the OBD II cars, the prefixes you'll see are: "IP" for the IPC instrument panel; "AC" for air conditioning module; "TC" for traction control; "RS" for the road suspension system; "SD" for the air bags; "PZ" for the body control module; "CC" for the cell phone; "RF" for the integrated radio system.

HOW TO "EXIT" DIAGNOSTIC MODE

To exit the diagnostic mode anytime during the test, depress the "ECON" or "DEFOG" button, or turn the ignition switch "OFF." .

You don't need a scan tool for these cars,as it is all built in.

Go to the following website for a list of trouble codes.

http://myweb.accessus.net/~090/dtcobd2.html

Add a comment to your post if you require any further assistance.

Hope this helps.

I have 3 ipc codes what does ipc stand for 98 cadillac eldorado

IPC stands for Instrument panel control, here is a typical code repair flow chart, this is for example only and has nothing to do with your car..
P083 = 24x signal high.

P107 = Instrument panel control )IPC) to computer (PCM) data problem.

P137 = Loss of Automatic braking system (ABS) to Traction control system (TCS).

What you need to do is CLEAR all these codes from the computer and see which ones return.

Perform this test.

1. Ignition key ON. Engine OFF.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER (^) buttons on your climate control panel for 3 seconds and release them.

3. Diagnostic codes such as above will appear with the word HISTORY or CURRENT for each code.

4. The codes will stop when you see PCM?

5. Push and release the HI(^) button and you will see PCM DATA?

6. Push and release the LO(v) button and you will see PCM DATA?

7. Continue to push and release the LO (v) button until you see PCM CLEAR CODES?

8. Push and release the HI(^) button until you see PCM CODES CLEAR.

9. Turn OFF the ignition and wait 3 minutes and try and start the car. If the car starts and the light comes back ON, Turn OFF the car and repeat steps 1 thru 3 and let me know what codes you get and if they are HISTORY or CURRENT.

10. When you see PCM?, Turn OFF ignition key.

11. Let me know what codes you get and if they are HISTORY or CURRENT.

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: this is what happen when it did what you told me what to do.
P047 History,P107 History,No IPC Code, P83 History,P137 History, A047 Current, No Sir Codes, T072 History,No Russ, PCM?
ANSWER: You did not follow the directives correctly . If you had, You would NOT have any HISTORY CODES.

Try it again and follow these directives EXACTLY:

WAIT 3 seconds and then proceed to 9.

DTC trouble code 28 TCS C 1214 HC

The C1214 error is related to the electronic brake traction control module (EBTCM) BPMV pump motor relay contact circuit open. Check the 40A ABS Maxifuse in the underhood electrical center. if blown change it, clear the DTC and if it blows again check for a short in the 1642 line or internal short in the BPMV.
When an ABS/TCS operation is required, the EBTCM activates the pump motor relay and battery power is provided to the pump motor. DTC errors are either H (history) or C (current) I usually clear the history and see if it sets again later.
