Open the cabinet by removing all eight screws, locate the two screws holding down the top of the dvd drive and remove them. Slide back the plate and lift and you will be able to remove the disc from the drive.

How to remove stuck dvd from lg blu ray

sounds like the disk may be sticky on top and is now stuck to the chucking clamp. Try to cut power as the door tries to open, then open the door as much as it will aloow and you should be able to fish the disk out. If it is stuck, you may have to push down the disk with a screwdriver to release it.

My coby-514 dvd won't open up when the open/close

disc is stuck, remove cover screws and carefully remove the disc, do not force the unit, once the disc is out use the remote to close the unit, then use remote to open and use a different disc press play and hopefully it will work, try to avoid not using the remote for all functions, including open-close. do not push tray in manually.

I have 2 dvd players that have gone out on me this week. One does not read the disk and the other door won't open. Is there a lens cleaner for dvds that might work:

The Coby 224 is a bottom of the line "piece of cheap Chinese crud". No offense, but this is a DVD player that costs more to ship it over here than it does to manufacture the product. Purchase something a bit more substantial for continued dvd viewing.

Problem with Coby DVD player

I work for Coby technical support. Our customer service phone number is 1-800-727-3592.

If the unit is showing "wrong disk" on every disk that you try to play, unfortunately, the unit has developed a defect and needs to be replaced. Our warranty is 90 days from the date of purchase. If you've had the player longer than 90 days, I regret to inform you it is out of warranty.

If you feel this solution doesn't deserve a good rating, please let me know why so that I may better assist you. If there is anything more I can do to help, I will!
