PIP issue Trying to get PIP to come up...using remote...get nothing...is there a special setting to bring it up?

I have not worked on your model.

My answer will be generic. It is possible that there is an option in the user menu that must be turned on to allow PIP. You must also make sure that there is an external feed going in to allow the PIP to reference to something.

Consult the user manual for details. You can also call the RCA tech support for your TV set.

It is possible that the PIP circuit area has a failure. But, this is not very often.

Can't get pnp to work
I presume you mean PIP which is picture in picture---the only button which will control it is on the original remote--PIP, SWAP etc.

The set uses two tuners inside for this--one is main and other is PIP--you may have a bad tuner.

If PIP button brings up a screen--hit the swap to see what happens-if one is nothing or snow and other has a picture--got a bad tuner--it can be either (some are combined into a single tuner).

Hello there, sorry to hear about your issue. Usually this indicates that someone has hit the CLOSED CAPTION button or possibly the PIP (picture in picture) button on the TV remote. There is nothing wrong with the xbox, it is actually a setting on your TV. Check the remote to see how you can disable closed captions.

I have a sony trinitron XBR and the PIP won't turn off. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Please make sure that one input is connected to the UHF/VHF port of the TV and other is connected to composite or component ports. If you have connected likewise, please perform the steps below:
  1. Ensure the video source is turned on.
  2. Ensure the video source is connected to an available VIDEO input jack on the back of the television. IMPORTANT: The VIDEO 5 input cannot be used to view a program in the PIP window.
  3. On the television remote control, press the TV FUNCTION button.
  4. On the television remote control, in the PIP section, press the TV/VIDEO button to select the appropriate video input for the PIP window.
  5. If the issue is not resolved, connect the Audio/Video (A/V) cable from the video source to a different VIDEO input jack on the television.
  6. On the television remote control, in the PIP section, press the TV/VIDEO button to select the appropriate video input for the PIP window.
  7. If the issue is not resolved, replace the A/V cable.

Cannot get pip function to work. i try to select pip and it says not available, but in my manual it says it is available. its really weird. it is even listed on my remote, but does not work when i push it....
Some models of the TV have PIP as an option, but not installed, and to make it cheaper, they use the same remote and menus, just disable the option, as it's not supported. Best to check the Manufacturer's website to make sure that it does do PIP, not that a related model which has the same user manual does PIP.

yes, PIP allows you to view 2 channels at one, one being the analogue picture another being a cable/freeview or sattelite picture, if you only use one of these to view programmes, you will se a blank screen.

Lost my picture when went to pip
Check your PIP source. I couldnt figure out my LCD pip, and why it wasnt working either until I was able to switch the source. It was automatically using a source that didnt have anything hooked up to, I had to switch mine in order for it to work. Try that and see if that might be the case. let me know. thanks!
