Does any one know where I can find a manual for this camera? I saw the one on the site but it is difficult to read. Any way I was just given this camera and I have no idea how it works! Any help?

These two links have a manual that seems clear enough to read;

Hope this helps - please post again if not :)

The Miinolta 400 si SLR 35 mm is an excellent camera for a beginner as well as the seasoned photographer. It has a complete automatic mode for the point & shoot picture taker as well as manual modes if you want to favor shutter speed over aperature or aperature over shutter speed. I've had one for years and have gotten excellent results.
You need one 2CR5 lithium cell for your camera. They're still available, see here for details. Note that other suppliers stock them as well, I only link to the supplier provided as they're where I buy mine and the page shows you alternative model numbers that the battery is sometimes known by.
this is due to whats called lens mount check or lens lock, it is because the camera cannot comunicate with the lens electronicly, to disconect the camera lock if this is the problem then
Press and hold DRIVE MODE and AV buttons while turning on camera. this will temoreraly disable the lens lock any problems contact me
Dear Minolta friends,
I have recently bought a second hand Maxxum 7000 and a AF lens, but found the body not ocntrolling the aperture while shooting. I know 7000 has someting special. Is my problem is due to lens and body compatibility or actually the malfunction of the body. I am sure the AF lens is ok since i have tried it working with another minolta af body.
Can give me an advice?
