Shoulder straps I am trying to figure out how to adjust the shoulder straps. I have lost my manuel. My little girl's shoulders are higher than the slots that the straps are in. There are black clips on the back of the car seat that allow you to tighten the straps. I tried to take the straps out of these clips but I can't seem to get them out. Please help me soon. I don't believe she is in the seat correctly right now. Thank you.

I have a Macklaren Quest 2012 model I too had trouble adjusting the straps but I have foud an easy solution. If you look at the front of each of the straps there is small opening that you can slide the strap through to adjust. You will need a flathead screwdriver that can open but it is there on either side of the buckle.

To change the shoulder harness level, loosen the shoulder straps. Then turn the seat around to the back and remove the harness anchors from their current location. NOTE: Harness anchors on the back of the car seat may be difficult to remove from the seat shell. IF you can not easily remove the anchors from the seat back with your fingers, please follow these instructions: Place a flat head screwdriver head along the short side of the harness anchor closest to the retaining tab. From that side gently pry the harness anchor away from the seat shell. The harness anchor will pop out. Repeat for the other side. Once anchor is loose turn it sideways and feed it through the slot to the front of the seat. Move the strap to the appropriate position and push the harness anchor through to the back of the seat and reinstall harness anchor. Make sure the harness anchor is properly snapped into place and flush against the child restraint's back. NOTE: To reinstall the harness anchor you may use the screwdriver for installation. Please follow these instructions: Place harness anchor under the tab closest to the outside of the seat. Place screwdriver just in front of the retainer tab between the seat shell rib and anchor. Pry tab away from anchor as harness anchor is pushed back into place. Repeat for the other side.

The straps are removed through the back - they are difficult to remove. Turn the clip in the rear of the seat, and puch through the opening. This will allow you to then place the straps at the correct position. Once they have been adjusted, then just push the clip back into the rear of the seat, and push down to lock in place. To adjust the width, just push down on the upper clip on the top of rear of the seat, and either tighten or loosen.

How do you move the straps for a bigger child

Hi
Undo the popper on the shoulder harness pad. Slide the pad down the length of the shoulder harness strap.
Unhook the metal D ring.
Feed the short length, low down anchor point back in behind the seat fabric. Bring the longer length, higher up anchor point out at the desired height.
Re-attach the D ring. Adjust the harness straps accordingly.
Slide harness pad back up shoulder harness and re-attach popper.

Need to remove the cover from a britax eclipse si..how

Press and hold down the harness release button. With your other hand below the chest pads, pull the shoulder straps forward as far as possible. With the Eclipse Si fully reclined, open the seat-belt guard at the back of the shell. Pull the yoke out from behind the seat and unhook both shoulder straps. Pull the cover from the top of the seat so that you can see the slots in the seat shell. Pull each shoulder strap and chest pad strap forward and towards the centre of the shell, easing the metal tab and straps through the slot. Then thread them through to the front of the cover. Unfasten the buckle and remove the comfort pad. Gently pull the cover off the seat, easing the shoulder straps, chest pads, harness buckle and adjuster strap through the slots in the cover.

I have a turn a tot car seat and the straps that hold her into the seat are to long and i can't work out how to shorten them and i can't find instructions anywhere

I guess you have pulled the harness adjuster strap tight (between the legs on the front edge of the seat) and are still left with slack shoulder harness straps. It may mean you need to remove the seat and check the harness straps are going thru the shoulder slots in the seat, then they need to go up and over the the metal shoulder rod before going down to connect onto the metal spreader plate

Trying to adjust the child seatbelt harness higher in the carseat

I located my instruction manual for this carseat. It instructed me to turn the carseat over & located on the bottom are two metal brackets that lock the seatbelt harness. You just have to detach each metal bracket & pull through the bottom slots of the carseat, readjust each seatbelt to whatever level is necessary & push back through the bottom of the seat to lock securely. Thanks anyway for your help!

Adjusting the shoulder straps on the Maclaren volo stroller

What year is your Volo. Different years adjust differently. The newer ones have 3 height adjustment slots and a slider that adjusts the strap itself. They do not adjust way down though and even with teh straps as tight as they will go, they are still a little loose on my 15 month old granddaughter. I have found that buy tightening the waist straps it does keep her a little more secure.

I have a 02-442-PRI 11-17-98 Cosco

If you washed the straps, they will need to be replaced. Lock the harness together, to prevent the straps from being twisted. Feed the top part of the harness through the slots that are AT or ABOVE your hangchilds shoulder if the seat is forward facing. IF the seat is for rearfacing, feed the top part of the harness straps through the shoulder slots at or BELOW the child's shoulder. Once each is through, reach down and attach them to the silver plate that hangs from the **** strap adjuster. Once you silde each of the harness straps, then slide the bottom of the through the hole in the cover, then into the base of the seat, folding the top like a triangle makes it easier to get through the tight holes. Repeat on the other side and you are ready to travel! Thanks!
