My 1999 Kenmore dryer won't start

The door switch is defective or improperly installed. If it is still under warranty, Sears owes you a service call.

I have this same problem. The Sears Service Technician just left and said that my main panel needs replaced to a cost of $532.88! Needless to say I will be buying another dryer and it will not be a Kenmore....

On most models of Kenmore HE3 dryers, you will need to press and hold the AUTO DRY LEVEL button for 3 deliberate seconds or until the lock is disabled. Some models have different controls. The directions for this control lock are normally printed on the console under the button that is used to enable and disable the control lock. If holding this button does not work, then you could have a failed user interface control or a bad control board.

Call their butts back there to fix it!!! They didn't put it back together right.

you can order a replacement timer from either sears or they do sell a universal timer that can be installed by a service tech timer's run from $35-$90 depending on where you buy it

those are error codes or warnings if its under warranty call sears for service

Have you tried a different cycle? The thermostat that controls heat has failed. There are more than one for the different heat settings. Try a different setting, then go from there.

The sales rep did some cross-referencing and said I own model #11072932100. I was wondering if you can direct me to an on-line service manual so I will know how to replace the switch when it arrives.
