Simpson silencio 980 won't start cycle

Power and lights go on but will not start. Also, there seems to be more water in the bottom than usual. The small screen filter is broken so wondering if poosibly the pump is full of rubbish? If so, how do I access the pump to clean it out,is it through the back of the dishwasher or can it be accessed from the front or inside?

HI I think you should take the waste pipe and blow down it you'll need a bit of puff, there's also the possibility that the waste pump is blocked with debris you will need to take it apart to clear it failing that a new water pump may be necessary or if your lucky you can access the pump by tilting the machine after removing the mains lead and the water pipe inlet there should be an isolation tap attached to the water pipe good luck in your task cheers eric

SOURCE: Zanussi IZ 12 pump access

You should not need to remove anything to check and clean pump filter.
Open the filter door at the bottom right front of washer, there you will see the pump filter cover, unscrew the filter anti-clockwise, and remove the filter, and clean same.
With the filter out, you will see the filter housing, which is fastened directly on to the pump, have a good look inside the housing, and see if anything is stuck in there.
Refit filter, and test.
Please rate my fixya solution.
Thanks.

SOURCE: Drain Pump Filter Leaks on LG TROMM WM2277HW

I had to remove the two little plastic tabs that prevent you from tightening the filter plud too tight. Grind these two tabs off and you will find youare able to tighten the pluf just a bit more and it will no longer leak.

SOURCE: I have Bosch Nexxt Premium WFMC6400UC Front Load

Hello and welcome to fixya.

I`d suggest removing the back panel and inspecting if the belt has perhaps come off.

**Unplug the unit from the wall first**

If so, put the belt around the motor pulley and start it around the drum/drive pulley. As you hold it in place spin the large pulley and it should go back on, careful not to pinch your fingers...ouch :(

Let me know what you find out or if you require further assistance.

If this indeed solves the problem please take a second to rate my solution accordingly.

Thank you for choosing`"fixya" and good luck.

SOURCE: water leaking during wash cycle. How do you get access to inside

I use a putty knife about 2" inward , between the top and the front panel on each side . Give a good hit on one side while slightly pulling the front panel forewafd . Then do the other side . The front panel tilts foreward and hinges on the bottom with tabs . Then lift to remove .

Our Simpson Silencio 850 dishwasher - the detergent draw is not opening when operating on any of the cycles. Has just recently been happening. Can anyone suggest what might be causing it?

mine did that too. It is not a simple fix, I can not afford a new dishwasher so I did this: I attached a small mesh bag (about the size of a deck of cards) to the bottom rack in the dishwasher. I put a Finish power ball in the bag and ran the dishwasher in the usual way. It has been working fine that way and saved my dishwasher.

Hi, my simpson eziset 950 when filling with water doesn't stop filling when the cycle starts. Water overflows all through the washing cycle. When I turn the tap of it stops filling.

there is a small tube running from the bottom of the tub up to a pressure switch in the control panel that is set by what ever wash level you want
when the pressure in that tube exceeds the pressure set by the knob it does 2 things
it turns off the inlet water solenoid to stop water coming in and then starts the wash cycle
as it is starting the wash cycle , it indicates that the stop solenoid for the water inlet is either still getting power or the stop valve is faulty
try replacing that water control valve first

My Simpson eziset 650 won't complete a cycle it

The machine has detected that it's taking too long to fill, check the hose filters in the inlet solenoids (remove the hoses and you will see them) make sure your taps are turned up, If all seems ok then you have work inlet solenoid(s) and will need to replace 1 or both of them depending on if it does it on both hot and cold cycles.

Simpson silencio dishwasher over filling . have c...

Clean the filters and filter bowl and if that doesn't solve the problem check the pipes to the pressure switches on the bottom right side (as you face it ) are not blocked and check that the pressure switches are working by blowing in their tubes and checking for a "click" sound and test with a multimeter for an open and closing circuit.

Top spray arm not connected to anything so dishes dont wash properly

as long as you have a spout mounted in the middle of the top basket, everything is fine , water will spray from top nozzel (mounted in ceiling of dishwasher) into spout entering spray arm.

Simpson Silencio 850 leaks - the water doesn't seem to stop filling. Replaced all seals, but it keeps filling until it leaks and we have to stop it manually.

Hi, I've just purchased a 2nd hand model of your dishwasher. mine actually leaks from the black lining underneath. I've just patched it with some Sellys bathroom sealant. I don't know more about your problem but sounds like it could be something not timing out to stop the water, maybe buy a new 1 :P
