SOURCE: need a diagram for a sears craftsman 42 inch deck drive belt and
I don't have a deck diagram but you should be able to figure it out it you put the back part of the belt (flat) up against the pulleys that are wide and the narrow part (v) into the smaller pulleys. It might take a couple of times but it is not that hard to figure out. Also put the (flat) side of the belt on any tension idlers. Hope this works.

There is usually a sticker showing the drive belt route underneath the tractor right by the belts! If yours is missing I 'll try to take a pick of my tractors belt and upload it!

I just seen this where someone got them at Grainger and I need 2 also Here is a copy of the Comment
I just bought two new belts at Grainger, their stock number is Dayton 1DHH5. This is for 3/8" belts. I don't know what the originals were, they were so far gone! I think a 1/2" belt would work too. Industry P/N for the belts would be 100XL037 for the 3/8", and 100XL050 for 1/2". It's a 10" belt, with 5 teeth/inch.
I hope that Helps, Please let me know if this worked as I will have to wait a couple weeks until I have the $$ to buy these
Call Rainbow Precision Products they have them in stock.
