Why does my unit not blow cold air

Sounds as if your coil is frozen. Do you see any ice on the larger diameter copper?? Is the blower motor actually working??

at first check fuses (internal) and if in use the internal filter.

Hello, make sure the filter, blower wheel, and evaporator coil is clean as this can reduce air flow. If the airflow appears ok then the unit may be low on refrigerant, sometimes leaks develop on the schreader valves and they just need to be replaced.

You say that i holds a charge, and the compressore turns, but does the comprressor cycle on and off, as this is indicating that there is enough charge, and once there is low pressure detected, it turns the compressor on, and when it reaches a high pressure, the compressor cycles off.

Lastly, when engine running and AC on, if you feel the 2 pipes going in to the firewall, one should be hot, the other should be cold ???...is this happening ???

Is this an electric unit? I guess it is. It appears tha the heating elements are not activating. Check to see if the contactor pulled in on a call for cooling>

if it is blowing at all, this narrows the field to a compressor issue, if the compressor is coming on, but not blowing cold it could be that the coils are dirty and need to be cleaned. They can appear clean from the outdside and be dirty on the inside.

well there not enough data here to make a fairly good solution. but if all the fans are running! and no cool air then it is the compressor.

if the fan is working when you turn down the temp on your thermostat, all is good. many new high efficiancy units do not always run the comprressor all the time like the old ones. house is cooling all is good
