With audio and no video for a rear projection TV, look at the lamp. Failure of this part is common.
Does the light on the front flash ? Count the number of times it is flashing. Error code.

The color wheel if used may no longer be available from RCA. With the exact model number GOOGLE the model number with the words COLOR WHEEL after it and if I remember some of the wheels were rather expensive.
Check capacitors cp624, cp647 1000uf@35v each. They are in the power supply. Can be seen with bulge on the top. Seems to be a common problem with this model RCA.
Unfortunately, the color wheel for this model has been discontinued by the manufacturer. So you would have to check every distributor to see if they have any left in stock. Part # is 271917. Here's a link so you can see this part's current NLA status and get an idea of pricing:
i do not know what happened to my RCA model # M50WH72S
i woke up and went to turn it on and the power was already on and the screen is black and no sound. and the television wont turn off with remote or from front of t.v i have to unplug it. same thing once i plug it back in the t.v power button is on and no picture or sound and wont turn off does anyone know if i need to replace a part ? and where i could find it i dont wanna pay a lot to have someone look at it. i checked the bulb and its in good shape. please help.
