SOURCE: heat controller mini-split air conditioner

Check each screw on your compressor to ground (compressor case). Should be very high resistance Then check the resistance across your teminals on the compressor to be sure it is not shorted. Then check the wiring to your capacitor (The big one). I ran across this just last week. The mechanic didnt have the capicator wired correctly. If it is brand new it will have a wiring schematic somewhere on it.
Dont leave the compressor on very long, but turn it on long enough to get a voltage reading across the terminals. I assume it should be 240 volts. If you have check all of this, they make a jump start gadget to start a stuck compressor. They sell it just about everywhere. Let me know how this comes out..

SOURCE: Remove and relocate split air conditioner

The simplest way of explaining this is as per the following. On your outdoor compressor unit there should be two pipes, one smaller diameter [high pressure] and a larger diameter pipe [low pressure]. Turn your A/C on inside the house and then shut off the smaller diameter pipe. Run the unit for a around 3 to 4 minutes and then check if the cooling is reducing from the unit inside the house. When you feel room temperature air [not cool] being emitted from the indoor unit shut off the larger diameter pipe and turn off unit. Isolate electrics, disconnect A/C piping and immediately seal the piping with good quality tape to prevent egress of dirt. When re-installing a quick purge of gas is usually only required to clear the lines if they were sealed properly and kept clean. Ideally running a vacuum pump is recommended but if care was taken then it may not be needed, as in many of my installations.

SOURCE: smells like something has died in my lg split

No joke, something probably did die in there. I have found rats in the drain pan or caught up in the fanmotor. Check this first. Second you can pour in some Miltons (solution used for washing baby bottles) or a mild mix of pool chlorine and water, directly into the drainpan. If you open the front cover, this is the plastic collection pan directly below the aluminium fins where the condensate water drips into. The chlorine will sanitize this area and should help remove the smell. But you should check and remove whatever died there in the first place.

1、Check whether two sets of plugs on the outlet end of
the motor have loosed from the socket of the
electric control board, insert it firmly when loosing.
2、Check whether the indoor motor has damaged, the
motor should be replaced when it is damaged
3、 Check whether the controllable silicon and other
components on the electric control board have
damaged, replace the controllable silicon or electric
control board when they are damaged.

I have a 14.4 square metre office room, fitted with 12000btu split AC unit for cooling, will it be sufficient?

1tr could cover up area of 100 Sqft ( Nearly 10sqmtrs) 12,000BTU is 1Tr. Better you go with 1.5 Tr. Otherwise make any patrician work to short the area, if you can. Thanks.
