Question about iLO XM-MP3-CD Car Stereo
Wonder if the return line from both speakers was wired to a common earth, and you've lost that connection? If that happened, you'd end up with the two speakers in series instead of in parallel, and just playing the difference between left and right channels (so very much quieter). Check also the stereo doesn't have a separate fuse (possibly internal) for the power amp stage. A.

Usually answered in minutes!
After a bit of testing I found the speakers were bad. Each speaker had small transistor which must have burnt out due to age and the
loud volume.
