I am also experincing this problem after refills. Older Lexmarks you had the control to tell machine it is a new cartridge.Had cartridges refilled in stores deticated to doing nothing else but refilling new ink.Still will not read full??Have no idea as to what to do.

Are you still able to produce printouts? Try to re-seat the cartridges in the printer.
Please note that a refilled cartridge will not be able to report its ink level.

Low ink indicator and I refilled my cartridges, how do I get my printer to recognize they are now full?
Open the Lexmark control Panel and select the Ink Cartridges Alignment tool. In the windows should be a place where you can select whether you have installed new ink cartridges. Also, make sure you do the alignment before trying to print. Finally, if you're using replacement type cartridges made by a third party company, they may not be detectable by the Lexmark system... many are not 100% compatible and don't have the electrical connection properly designed to be readable by the Lexmark software.

“Lexmark does not support the refilling of its ink cartridges. Refilling the ink cartridges can cause them to leak, thus clogging or even damaging the print head. Any damage to your printer caused by refilled ink cartridges may not be covered under warranty”. Please use genuine Lexmark cartridges for best results.

Lexmark 4300 seriers
Refilled ink cartridges differ considerably in quality and behavior. The printer is designed to work with Lexmark cartridges and any other cartridge is going to pose some risks and they certainly will not communicate the fill level accurately.

Ink levels of refilled cartridges
Hello,

Refilled cartridges usually do not show the correct ink levels. As far as Im aware there is no way to adjust that readout on those cartridges.

if you are useing a refilled cartridge , ink cartridge has a chip built in that must be reset, if you look on line you can purchase a reseter. if you use a new ink cartridge it will show a full ink level

Ink levels are not responding.
Did you buy a brand new or remanufactured/refilled cartridge? Some cartridges will show empty, even when full.

They want you to buy brand new, brand name ink!

Ink cartridges
I think the cartridges cannot be reset to full once they have emptied once. If you choose to refill yourself you may have to live with the low ink warnings all the time.

hello guys i have a question i purchase a lexmark printer p4350 from pawn shop it works fine but when i shut my computer windows 7 64 bit down the printer stays on. but i can shut the printer manually. now when booting up the computer the printer power button will light it is ready but after shuting down computer the power light stays lit i have call my self search for a solution but was unable can you help Thanks william
