On the page that shows WHERE TO and VIEW MAP press TOOLS (the spanner symbol at the bottom right corner)
Press SETTINGS (The spanner symbol) or LOCALE (The blue symbol) on models that don't have a settings icon
Press LANGUAGE (the lips symbol)
There are 3 items on this screen; VOICE, TEXT LANGUAGE and KEYBOARD
To change the voice language to English press VOICE and select an English speaking voice
To change the text language press TEXT LANGUAGE and select English, or American English if you're in the USA
If the text language is already in German you probably won't know which is voice, text and keyboard. The German word for German is Deutch so when you see this beside one of the items you'll know this is the one to change the text language. This should solve your problem.
unfortunately you cannot just switch languages on the treo or really any Windows Mobile Treo or Palm They release the phones with one language installed in whatever country and thats about it. You can buy a Treo 750 in english, but not change the language
First of all the language was Finnish and not German.
I managed to get a translation from Finnish to english for the word
kieli (Language).
Then i went to the system menu and selected kieli, then englanninkieli
then pressed enter, this changed the language to english.
I did not have to do a factory reset.
Thank you for your trouble.
Regards
Noel
try doing a hard reset and it should give you language options after that, if its not giving you language options, the rom might be chinese only, you need to flash the rom to an english version.
Do a hard reset by holding down the K and return key, and at the same time push the reset button on the back. Plug in the charger to turn it back on. You can then start over by selecting english.
It is possible to change menus and basic controls to english - you have to install a windows add-on software (that changes your keyboard layout and local settings. Try

Their Language Extender product should do the job - however, it's not free.
