VM9020TS Doesn't save presets on XM/Can't read full titles in menu
I can't save any presets on the Radio or XM. Also, the banner spaces where you read sports scores and titles on XM only shows about 8 spaces of info even though there is room for many more. Any help appreciated.

What do you mean by "fix" the display, is it not showing it? If so- my Nissan Altima has not been displaying Sirius XM Title and Artist for months. After much searching of the internet, I finally found an answer that worked! Just be sure to write down your radio/sirius presets before you reset the radio - it'll clear them all (and the time). The answer is here- http://incodesystems.com/Troubleshoot/Cars/RadioInitialize.htm
I have similar issue. Signal easily lost whenever there isn't a truly clear path to sky. My old cheapie XM radio add-on was MUCH better. I'm taking this back to my dealer tomorrow for other issues with the "top of the line" DVD/NAV/XM system. Such as it won't read the data on most CD's and display names of tracks (maybe 1 CD will display out of 10); and the way the radio truncates the Sirius/XM titles, etc. to much less than the full available screen (my cheapie add on did a better job). For $2,000+ bucks this is a very disappointing audio/GPS system. Sound is mediocre as well. This must be a huge profit center for Toyota -- cheap components + high price = $$$ for them.
I have a Kenwood ddx6019 with XM satellite radio and sirius. i want to know how do i turn on the xm so i can get live traffic update and my garmin gps unit and weather. and were to i find the mx radio id for xm. i found it for sirius
Yes, you can buy an FM Direct adapter that will allow you to transmit directly to your car FM tuner, but if you have an older SkyFi2, the Fm transmitter is so strong, you can sit the radio on the floor and tune your car radio to your preset XM channel, like 107.1 FM and it will work great. Go into "Menu" and pick a channel that's not used locally.
I doesn't save the songs, only the song title information. Go to MENU and you can see there is a selection to it to show the 'memory' listing -again, it is only the channel, artist and title info to remind you the name so you can buy it. some also have the tunealert feature so that the radio beeps when your favorite is on another channel.
On the adapter cable if there is a separate cable for power connect the positive directly to battery power as opposed to ignition. The memory resides on the xmdirect2 module not on the head unit.
Does the radio have a full subscription? Next, check the "Preset/Direct" button and push it until "direct" is lit up. Then you can directly enter the channel number. Also, you can go into the MENU and set what channels to skip and jump to. My guess is that you bumped the "Preset/Direct" button and your radio is in "PRESET A or B or C" - you need direct. Try that first, than get back to me - okay? BTW, I'm assuming you're talking about an XM satellite radio like the one in the photo?
