Where can i find CMOS battery of my laptop ACER travelmate

Hello,
You will have to turn it upside down and start removing compartments untill you find it. (As you did not give me the model of the computer I can't tell you exactly where it is)
The CMOS battery is located on the motherboard and it looks like a large watch battery.

Details on changing it is here: http://www.smartcomputing.com/editorial/article.asp?article=articles/2004/w1510/32w10/32w10.asp&articleid=24031

Have a great Day!

My laptop wont turn on!

Reboot the battery tapping the F8 key... when the menu pops up use your up and down keys to select last known good configuration.... boot to that... that should fix it up.

ACER travelmate 529 dim display

you need an inverter board. we can supply you with it if you'd like. let me know if you need more help.

90% of it's the inverter board, the other 10 could be a bad fl tube in the lcd itself.

Cmos battery

Its easy you have to take out the cmos battery. Its usually below the keyboard of the notebook. Before this you are requested to refer the manual.

Laptop not being powered on

Did you get the battery checked? OR maybe it's an issue with the PowerJack connector on the motherboard...have it checked ASAP.... Also take out the battery and plug straight from the wall jack using the Adapter to ckeck if power is coming.
