I have a Bosch Nexxt 500 andjust replaced the heating element less than 6 months ago. A week ago it stopped heating up again. Took the back panel off, pushed the reset button but now when I turn it on, the electic panel works but nothing else, no tumble, just a few clicks. Repeated the process and still nothing?? HELP!!!

Turns out it was the belt switch. To reset the switch I had to unplug the dryer, remove the power cable and back cover completely. Note last two screws hoding back cover are under the top cover which is held on with two screws at the rear. Remove the screws then pull top cover back and then lift it off. Remove last two screws and take off the full back cover .

Sounds like a bad thermal fuse or thermostat, check all of them with a multi meter for continuity. as for the heater going out I would check ur venting inside and out the machine. the fuses and heater blow out for a reason? Usually due to overheating issues? I suspect ur lint build up is the problem?

SOURCE: Bosch nexxt 500 series dryer

I have a Siemens dryer and few days ago it stopped heating, but the drum rotates. The problem was because of a safety reset button that went off. On the Siemens (WT dryer series), it is a red button behind the dryer.

Press the red button and it will restart. I might have started a fire, if not for this safety switch.

A similar reset button must have tripped on the Bosch dryer.

FYI: Remember Bosch and Siemens share their technology.

SOURCE: Where do I find the

Have a Nexxt 3300 and believe yours is about the same so yes, several screws to remove from the back. Top also has to come off because two screws to the back are under the top. And for the top to come off the control panel has to be pulled away. Only four screws under four white caps to remove for panel to be loosened. The top is attached with two screws in the back and four nylon clips under the top. The red reset button will be easy to see after removing the back. It is attached to the heating element housing. It is not hard to do, just a pain to get to the reset button. My Bosch Nexxt 500 dryer stopped heating. All other functions work fine except heat. I've checked continuity on heating element & overtemp breaker- both OK. What else could be the problem? Fuse?

CONSIDER THIS
BOTH LEGS OF AC MUST WORK TO GET HEAT FOR DRYER
Maybe you don''t have power to both legs of your receptacle. Both legs of the 220 volt AC have to work go get heat. Only one leg is used to run the motor etc.. Your motor runs so this can fool you into believing that the electrical connection is ok when it really is not. Your dryer is on a double circuit with two breakers. If one fails you lose one 110 volt leg which can be the one giving the full 220 Volt needed for the heater. This happens quite frequently and people mistakenly replace heating coils. You could have a bad breaker, one of the two. You must check this first before assuming anything else. Get help if you are uncomfortable with potentially deadly voltages

Bosch nexxt 500 elec dryer has no heat to it

There is a switch located on the duct from the heating element. Which you are not able to reset, you have to replace it if it's defective. Do a continuity test on it and if there is no continuity then the switch has to be replaced.

My Bosch dryer is running but there is heat?

Often a dryer heating element burns out, but doesn't trip the circuit breaker or blow a fuse. The heating element is simply a long coil of special wire. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter. No continuity means the element is bad and you need to replace it--electric heating elements aren't repairable.
On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. The fuse--which is about an inch long--is usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing. If the fuse has blown, you need to replace it. (You can't re-set it.)

Bosch nexxt 500 series dryer

I just had the same problem, motor runs but no heat. I had a fun time figuring out how take the front panel off, hint the rubber seal comes off easily. It looks like mine tripped the resettable over heat sensor. So far so good.
