Question about RCA D52W20 52" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
I have an RCA D52W20 which is a little over 2 years old. After the first year of service, the HV transformer or flyback was replaced because the TV power was cycling a few times during startup but never turned on. At the time it was still under an extended warranty so it did not cost me anything. Now, warranty expired, the television will not stay on. This issue is very intermittent. Some days, it will not turn itself off at all and works perfectly fine. On other days, it will turn off after 10 mins, or 15 mins, or an hour and I have to wait a min or so before I can turned it back on (by front panel power button only). Any idea what could be causing this?
Your problem is intermitent resolder the power supply the horizontal along with the area of the flyback you could be having some lose solder also resolder.if that does not work check around in the power suply some bad cap, power regulator and even the flyback again.a check should be made on the microchip.if you cannot do it your self take the set to a tech.good luck

Additional information:
It appears the only time I am having this issue is when turning the TV on from a cold start. The screen normally goes black a few times before actually turning off.
Once cycling the power back on for maybe the third time, the TV will stay on for the rest of the evening with no issues.
Any additional ideas?
