First you start with out accelerator .keep it running for a while .until warm up engine . check the out side temp. and keep clean always .
always start wit out accelerator .
You haven't given much detail about the car but long crank is normally associated with flooding. Dying out as well may occur due tyo too much fuel. CHECK FOR THAT.

Have you tried tapping on the starter then trying to start the vehicle may be a bad spot in starter usually if no sound when trying to start and new battery will mean the starter is no good . Starter can be found by following the positive cable off the battery.
The battery needs to be replaced. After the first start in the morning the battery gets charged and the engine is also "hot" making it easier for the starter motor to turn it over. Therefor less current is drawn from the battery and you get a start every time. In the morning the engine is cold making it difficult to turn. The battery rested the night loosing some charge and is also cold which affects the current it can deliver at that stage. With the cold engine it is not able to turn it fast enough to get it started. A new battery will solve your problem.
When you turn the key to start does the starter engage an spin the engine ? or nothing happens .
the lights and music come on but the motor will not start when I turn the key ??????? Will not start how ?
crank - no - start or no crank no start . ????????
Check your battery voltage, sound to me like your battery cold cranking amps is low. Its enough the power the lights but not turn the engine over. Have the battery replace
Dear sir I think you should check the engine tempreture sensor . I understand that starter work but if doesent you have to check the fuse box there is a relay it may be not working
Wiggle the bsattery terminals while someone else is trying to start car and see if that works. if not have some try to tsrat car as you bang on the starter which is directly to the left of the air box and down. you can use a tire iron or a hammer with a long metal object to bang on.
There should be a small black wire going from the battery to the starter motor. It sounds as though it has come loose. Check it and re connect it. I hope this works. Good look
Hi as it starts with a jump start, i would rule out a starter motor problem, i am taking it that what you mean by a jump start is your using a donor battery rather than pushing the van, so possible causes are (1) battery discharging due to a light left on, or the alarm system draining the battery or something similar, (2) alternator not charging the Battery, when you turn the ignition key does the ignition light come on, does it go off when the engine starts?
The first things to check should be the operation of the choke or cold start. It could be not working properly or out of adjustment. When cold and the key is turned on,you should see the linkages work on the intake of the motor.2nd.Check all fuel filters and lines are all good.3rd.Check the sparkplugs are all in good order. It sometimes only takes one to playup when its very cold and you wont get it going..Try these first and I hope it helps
