Singer 7468 birdnest issues

:) If you are nesting below the fabric and in the bobbin area... that is an upper tension problem. Tighten the upper tension... and try again.

Thread bbobbles up on unerside of fabric

Called "birdnesting", this is probably one of the most common, minor (yet annoying) issues. Check first that the machine is threaded correctly, and that the thread is getting run through the tensioner. If that is all good, increase tension until birdnesting stops. I sometimes find it helpful to hold onto the thread, applying slight pressure on it at the beginning of stitching. See if this helps!

Singer 5430C bobbins thread always loopy

"Birdnesting" occurs when there is no tension on the needle thread to pull the bobbin thread. This is easily corrected by rethreading the machine, following the threading path carefully and making sure the thread is fully engaged in the tension mechanism.

Keeps "birdnesting", besides rethreading, how do I fix?

when you have bunching on the bottom, you have a problem with the top thread: no tension. (and visa versa) Make sure the thread runs through the tension discs, these discs are activated when you put the presser foot down, so you want to thread the machine with the foot up, also feel if there no burrs, hooks, or whatever, so your top thread comes smooth off the spool, no jerking.

Birdnesting under the plate

almost always the thread isnt "tight" enough on top. also if the thread comes out of the take up lever it will "nest" also bad thread, try a different spool.

I have a singer-inspiration machine and it appears that the thread keeps getting caught up in the bobbin area so my thread birdnests. I am new to sewing and this is a new machine.
