When I accept a windows live call they can see me but they can't hear me. They do not have a web cam. Mine is a Microsoft Life Cam 1000.

Remove the web-cam and un-install any web-cam software on the PC, Now log on to the the official site of microsoft and download the driver software to your PC. Now install the software and then connect the web cam to be detected and installed.

What im client are you using?

You need to set cam up with msn

After you start Windows Live Messenger,
expand the view by clicking on the square
on top left next to the red X.
Then on the Windows Live messenger window on the
right side, click on “ “Show Menus.” And then click
on “Show the Menu Bar”.
Next go to the Menu Bar on right side, click on Action.
Go to “TOOLS” and click “Audio and Video Setting
and follow the instructions.

i lost my web cam driver cd

try and go to the web cam manufaterer web site and see if there are drivers for vista..

re install the web cam software and see.
