I can't download music onto my sansa mp3 player

I have music in my library but can't copy it to my MP3 player

  • Harveyiscool Jan 10, 2009

On my computer in My Computer and Rhapsody it shows songs on my Sansa mp3 player, but they don't show up on my actual player. They're in the same format as songs that do show up.

If you have your manual see if you need to check your USB connection.
On your Sansa Player go to the Main Menu, find Settings. Choose MSC if you have Windows Media Player 9 or older. If you have Windows Media Player 10 you can leave it set as autodetect (MTP) setting.
hopefully this will get you out of your slump with your sansa.

Downloading audio books onto a Sony MP3 player.

MP3 players can only play music and audio books files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. Click on this link for instruction on converting music files to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

Can't load music onto my SanDisk Sanza Fuze Mp3 player

Itunes is what is known as proprietary software.
Which basically means that it only works with hardware of the same brand. (Apple- Ipod)
You will not be able Itunes to load mp3 files on a Sansa MP3 player.

Compress file from the library to burn onto a CD

You can convert the file to mp3 so that the size of the file would decrease to around 150MB so that you can burn it on a CD. First copy it onto your computer and then use the software below to do it

Loading My ITunes library into new Sansa Clip

Hey guyi,

According to information provided by the manufacturer (Sandisk), the Sansa Clip MP3 player can use two different methods to upload songs: a simple drag-and-drop interface, or syncronizing the player with Windows Media Player.

With the traditional drag-and-drop interface, you would need to connect the player to your computer and select the "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer" option when it is presented. Once you have done this, you should be able to double-click on the "Sansa" player and then the "Music" folder. After this folder has been opened, you should be able to drag and drop (or copy/paste) the files into this folder to upload them to the player.

For more information or instructions on how to add files to your Sansa music library using Windows Media Player however, you may wish to refer to your owner's manual or the following link on the manufacturer's website:

http://www.sandisk.com/assets/File/Downloads/user-guides/clip-usermanual.pdf

Unfortunately Windows Media Player does not currently appear to support the ability to directly import iPod playlists, but if you keep most of your music files in the same folder/directory on your computer, both programs should be able to share the same music library. Please keep in mind that this may only apply to music that you loaded onto the computer yourself and other unprotected file formats that both programs recongize (like .MP3 files), and may not necessarily apply to copy-protected songs downloaded from iTunes or other online music services.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron
