Question about Panasonic FP-D355DC Copier

FPD-350 First copy comes out dark, not the entire page, moves threw the page. After that copies are fine, only happens at turn on or after it has been in stand by. It looks like a bias problem, I'm thinking a week power supply or bias board. Changed coronas and grid, dv, imiage is kinda weak as well. Paul

Thanks "Guest", maybe I should call myself and bring my manual...Drum and dv were changed. I was looking for a real tech with experience on this unit, as I work on all models this being the only 350 I service. Thanks for the input...

Replace drum and developer every 120,000
copies. also al l3 sets of corona wires. clean the optics and run 2 simulations to set drum and developer
you will need a service manual and a technician
unless you know copiers...

Have you tried the drum. If it happens in regular intervals it could indicate a drum problem. Also i have seen loose charger wires cause this problem.

Xerox Copycentre C20: Copier doesn't scan top 1-3 inches of page. Happens intermittently. When this happens, it moves everything else on page to the top of the copy, cutting out what should be

The document feed rollers may be dirty/worn which is causing the paper to come into the scan area late causing your document cut offs. use a clean, lint-free cloth dampened (not moist) with water and clean the document feed rollers. Confirm they are dry then, try scanning multiple pages and see if they pull through without stalling. If they do, it's time to replace those rollers.

My HP Pro 7780 has recently started making copies (through the feeder) with 2 large blank streaks down the middle of the page (lengthwise). I am worried that this is also happening when I send a fax as...

Does this happen when you print, or only when you copy? If you print out a configuration or user settings page, or print a page from the computer, is it also missing two vertical lines of print or is it only when you are copying?

If it happens when you print, you may need a cleaning, or you may need to replace the toner or drum cartridge. If it's an inkjet machine, there's a possibility there is some ink or grease on the encoder strip (a small belt-like plastic strip that goes through the print-head carriage).

If it only happens when you copy, test both the flatbed and the document feeder. If it happens on both then you may have a bad scanner. If it only happens when using the document feeder, you likely have some whiteout (or something) on the glass. When you make a copy in the flatbed, the scanner moves across your document. When you make a copy using the document feeder, the document moves across the scanner. In this case, if there is anything on the scanner glass (like whiteout) your copies will be missing a vertical line of print data (it could be white if there is whiteout on the glass, or it could be dark if something dark is on the scanner glass).

Usually you can lift the flatbed cover and look at the glass to see if anything is on it (usually at the left side of the scanner). Clean the glass, first with alcohol to remove the obstruction, and then with a little windex to remove anything the alcohol may have left behind.
