Phone in water

Hi,4 months back my cell phone was fallen into water.i removed it immediately from water.after sometime when i wanted to charge it, it was charged for sometime.then it was stopped working completely. i thought it was shorted. so please give me solution to reuse that phone. i really very much like that phone.please help me. awaiting your reply eagerly

I think u must buy a new main board, because when the phone falls to water, the camera doesnt work and you cant use network services (calls, grps, etc).

I know the procedure to bring the main board back to work but kind of complicated but I hope this procedure may help you to save your main board. Once the phone is dropped into water, the board is the first one get big damage due to electric short with water so the first part to do is dry out the main board with special solvent and cook it in the appropriate temperature level. Immediately remove the phone from the water,turn off the cell phone remove the battery and SIM card. When you have driedthe cell phone by putting in a warm sunny place for several days or in front ofa warm fan heater for several hours then reassemble the phone. How to fix a phone that dropped into water

Hi, when ever a phone drops inside the water, First you will need to remove the battery from the cell phone.If the battery is left inside the cell phone, the water will damage the cells inside the battery, why?, because there is still Power inside the cell phone that can damage the battery cell.

To service the phone,you will need to unscrew the cell phone,because has entered into the cell phone and it can damage IC chips inside the cell phone if not attended to immediately.

Use a phone screw and unscrew the phone from the back by removing the battery and you will see some screws, unscrew possible screws and open the phone.(depends on the type of phones)

Get a methylated spirit and a small brush, remove the board of the phone and deep the brush inside the methylated spirit,brush gently on the board of the phone. After brushing, get a dryer to dry up the board of the phone and live it for a while to dry.

After some minutes,assemble the phone back and fix in the battery. Make sure during the process you are charging the battery of the phone. battery might be dead or low in power..Better you can have a spare battery around
after servicing the cell phone..

I guess that's all you need.

Note: if the battery has stayed too too long on the phone and am sorry after the water splash, it might not come on after this all process, that means you will have to flash the phone because the battery might have damaged the memory of the board of the phone and will not power up the phone because the phone is too weak to power.

Flashing of the phone will restore back the phone memory.

That's solves your problem.

An amount of water felt on my sony xperia x8. It has a yellow light that shows that charges but never opens and sometimes the light closes. If I press the button to open It vibrates but nothing happens....

Open your phone and use your hair dryer IMMEDIATELY, If there was any sugar in the liquid, all is probably lost.

REMEMBER: Water damage voids the warranty

I want Nokia 1600 Cellular Phone Water damage logged

If your cell phone is damaged by water follow these instruction
1. Remove The Battery Immediately
2.clean your battery with a towel or paper and let it dry
3.Use air to force out the water from your mobile phone
4.else you can put your phone in a bag or dry rice over night so that in morning the water will be absorbed by the rice from the cell phone
5.now put the battery in the cell phone and try to switch it on
6.There are chances that the mobile get turned on.sometimes if the circuit is entirely damaged its impossible to recover..

My nokia 2310 fallen on water tub for 10 minutes after taking it out from water tub dried and then battery charged now mobile reas sometime and sometimes read sim card reject

Unble to charge been away for three month unable to use phone now it wont charge

hi jimkatacos and welcome to fixya,

Please try to remove the battery from your phone then place it back, if same problem occur you change your battery, since the phone was unused for three months the battery was drained improperly.

Hi

Before getting your phone fixed I'll suggest you test your phone with another nokia charger to see if it will charge your phone.

If it does then you will just need to get a new charger but if it does not then you will have to take it to a repairer to fix the charging port for you because that is where the problem is coming from

I droped my voyager in water

HI,

if you drop your cell phone in water is to remove the battery immediately without even hesitating to turn off the power. This reduces the risk of a short circuit which would render your phone useless. Dry the batter with a towel and set aside to dry thoroughly.

After you have removed the battery, dry off the cell phone with an absorbent towel as best as you can. Use cotton swabs to soak up water in crevices and on any fragile, exposed circuits.

If you have dropped your cell phone in water, it is also helpful to disassemble it if you can and let all the parts dry separately.

Just be sure that you know how to put it back together. If it is a flip or sliding cell phone, leave it open for maximum evaporation.

If you drop your cell phone in liquid that isn’t pure water, you may want to try giving it an alcohol bath.

The alcohol will displace minerals and microscopic substances as well as aiding in the evaporation of the fluid. If it is available, you should use an alcohol concentration of 95% rather than rubbing alcohol that usually contains only 70%.

Once your phone is clean, leave it in a warm dry area or near an air conditioner for three days before you attempt to replace the battery and turn it on. This is very important, because although you may think that you have thoroughly dried it, the slightest moisture can react with the battery and cause it to short circuit. If drop your cell phone in water, and want to save it, resist the temptation of turning it on to see if it is working until you have waited at least 72 hours.

PLEASE USE HAIR DRYER TO DRY IT AND DONT CHARGE OR SWITCH IT ON FOR A DAY....................................

My samsung tmobile comes on but then immediately says goodby.

make sure that it does not have water damage?! you can tell if you took the back cover where the battery does and see if you see and sticker that has red ink on it.
Most cellphone company put a water activated stick that will change color when it reacts with water?! and it will void your warranty
