SOURCE: How do I hook up a Pioneer PDP-4300 for High Def?

That depends on what source your talking about.

Cable call you cable provider and ask them for a HDTV box

Satalite you should already have one if not ask them.

OTA =over the air you need a digital tuner with a nice antenna I suspect this has a digital tuner inside so all you need is a good antenna.

DVD= hook the DVD up with the red, green, blue cables called SCART connections..

Blueray= Will bring you high def.. with its connections.

So your question is vague and can be answered in so many ways.. Rate me please

PDP-4300 has no sound

Try it on headphone. Try changing the input to some other device that works. If it does not work even then, this may need attention by a qualified service technician.

Try turning the power switch to off and unplugging the television, then plug it in and turn it back on. I have had this same problem and this seemed to work for me.

43" plasma (Pioneer)

Plasma tv's are known for having overheating problems. Most of these problems occur in the main power supply. Most technicians only replace these boards due to manufacturers policy. If you are lucky, you may find a local technician that can troubleshoot to the component level. This will save you an huge amount of money. The board could cost as much as $800 dollars. Scrivitron
