Just buy a new power supply. If you touch the wrong thing inside that psu you will die. Seriously.

SOURCE: Enermax EG495P-VE (Off warranty) will run for 1

It's probably an accumulation of lint, dust, pollen, and anything else in the air over time, if you're lucky. This isn't the easiest of things to do, but you will have to use a small brush for a lot of clingy stuff, to compressed air for most cases. It could be a slight short in the fan motors, or a bad electrical connection or connector that's causing the current to rise and trip a thermister, or other heat sensing device. I would take it apart and see what I could see. Most of the time it's something simple, never know till you look.
One thing...if you do find an overload switch or circuit, figure out the problem that's making it overload. It's probably not the switch that's bad, but something else. Good luck!

Hi Jonathan,

Yes, if there's no LED light at the front panel of the TV, this is an indication that the power supply is not working (I'm assuming that you've already tried to plugged it in to other working outlet). First thing to check is the internal fuse of the TV. If you found it open, replaced it with same current(ampere) rating and try to power it on again. If the new fuse blow again this is an indication of more serious problem in the power supply. You may replaced it with a new board or seek for an assistance of a qualified TV technician to troubleshoot the board.
If you found the fuse intact, still the same problem(power supply board).
Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.

Both fans stopped working which overheats the PSU. Can this perhaps be a fuse?

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

My computer will not power up at all been looking for another compatible power supply since this one is discontinued need help immediately.. enermax eg425p-ve

I'd check into a DiabloTek PHD650 650-Watt Power Supply. It's a higher voltage module, but has similar features to your Enermax power supply. If you can't find it locally, check out TigerDirect.com (my fave) or NewEgg.com. These two sites are likely to have these, and are competitively priced.

Dishes do not come out dry and this has just begin happening.

I'll assume you refer to a dishwasher and not a PC. If the internal pump does not get all the water out, then the resulting pool in the bottom will inhibit the dry cycle. When it has reached the end of the washing cycles, open the door and see how much water is left. Then you will need to find out why that is, if there is a lot remaining. Could be a clogged screen on the pump.

My enermax power pack sparked out of the fan in the back and now my computer wont turn on. Not sure if it's the power pack or the board is fried... Any help would be appreciated thanks =)

if it sparked then something inside the power supply malfunctioned and that is the reason it wont work. You will need to replace it. Unlikely that it fried your board in the process. You can test this by swapping the power supply with one that you know works.

Hi, I have a problem with my Enermax Blue Viper CS-718-B, bought in 2006. When pressing the start button, the light and fan are working very short, or I get a peep, but the computer is not booting. Only if...

Your computer either has a fault with the power button in which you can request off the manufacturer a replacement (may cost money depends on warranty) or you do not have enough power for the computer components. Try removing all the peripherals except from screen, keyboard and mouse and then try booting. If it works then you dont have a large enough power supply for all the equipment you have. If it still does not work then it could still be a power supply (PSU) fault in which you can take the psu to your local computer store and they can test it for you.

hope this helps

My pioneer elite

if the fuse blows after replacing then there is a short cicuit inside the set. most likely a diode has shorted in the power supply. check the bridge rectifiers for short and any transistor in the power supply.
