The picture screen shows only 3 colored lines bowed across top no picture and a greenish bow across the bottom no menues will show . the 2 stk convergence chips were changed a few months ago and it worked fine until this latest problem I have described.. I have a service manual but it is 90% schematics and gives no help troubleshooting.
Sounds like your IC's took a dive again. Did you change them or a shop? You have to also make sure that when you change the IC's that you put plenty of heat sink compound on the back of the IC's and do not use the cheapy IC's that you can get for 20 bucks or less as I have found they do not last. This convergence board should be available as a complete board. Good Luck

It is now time for you to get a schematic diagram, a service manual, sometimes this is necassary as when the IC's blow so does a return resistor or an inline pico fuse. You need to make sure each IC has at leat 20 to 24 volts plus and minus on the IC. This is how a schematic or service manual will help.

Usually answered in minutes!
Ic's were changed at a shop.. I ordered 150's and will put in myself if it works I will rate the remedy suggested as excellent. for now I'm waiting on the snail mail for the chips as I live in the bush in a 1 street town.
well I have received the new convergence chips I bought sony 392-150's instead of the 392 110's so that if it was the power draw and heat that caused the failure these would take the extra.. wall it took 10 minuits to replace them and when I fired up the 60"zenith there was no change at all it looked exactly the same as it was before I changed the chips. well 40.00 bucks down the hole I checked for cold joints and cooked components but found nothing , there has to be another answer does anyone have IT. thanks for trying so far ,no go.. I would rather wait until I get the set fixed to give a rating because a not good rating does no-one any good
