I have 3 line buttons programmed, then 2 memory buttons, However the 3rd button (labeled speed dial) will not erase or reprogram. Every time I press it it opens up a speed dial line. I wanna change this to another intercom shortcut or voicemail or something. I have full access to the ADMIN and CONFIG menus just don't know where exactly to go.
SOURCE: Any button pressed on admin phone calls another phone's v.m.
Sounds like one of the speed dial buttons is stuck down on that phone
SOURCE: Ringing multiple intercom numbers at once
That was a good solution to the problem. way to go.
SOURCE: Hello. I have a M7310
What? They are either programmed or not programmed. If the button is blank, I'm voting for NOT programmed.
If your system is old enough, it's probably lost the backup battery. Ugly things, like pulse dial and only 2 lines are what usually happens, along with losing all of the button mapping but your 2 lines and the default programs of LNR, CONF, etc.
If it's just one phone, there's no magic recall. You'll just have to reprogram it. Same with the system if you've lost everything, but I"d call a repair tech first to fix the battery on the software cartridge.

Not sure what a Speed Dial line is. Speed Dial keys will only ask for the slot #.You cannot over write Intercoms, Lines, Handsfree, Answer DN's or HuntGroups.Button inquiry is F*0 ...what does it then say when you press the button?
Ok sorry I was away from the office and couldn't get around to trying this. Feature *0 displays the extension and the Set Name when I press that button for button inquiry. When I go to program it (Feature *3, then press the button) it opens a line. I found out after the button inquiry that this line works as an intercom line and I can call another set. The problem is right below it is our actual intercom button for calling another station. Need to erase this button or reprogram but won't seem to let me.
So maybe originially we had 2 intercom buttons on the handset? ANd it can't be overwritten if it is an intercom button
Or perhaps it was a page or conference call button? No idea I'm just brainstorming/babbling
FEATURE * 0 then press the button to see what it is.
If is staes your ext # then that is indeed an intercom button, you only need 1 when you have lines appearing at a set. change it to 1 under Sets/LineAccess/IntercomKeys
I didnt see your reply Aug 21 untill now so proceed to remove the intercom key to only 1.
And I have to do that on one of the main sets? Like an M3710?
Yes, Feature **266344 then 266344 as password,
Thanks got it!
