Question about Samsung SC-D67 Mini DV Digital Camcorder

1 Answer

Distorted sound on playback, samsung mini dv camcorder.

I have a Samsung mini dv camcorder, and on playback the sound is very distorted where words cannot even be understood. The picture quality is fine. This is my 3rd camcorder, and I have 14 tapes, all are distorted, with the exception of the one that is in the unit now. The tape is half recorded on, and when I rewind and playback, the sound is ok.
Even the tapes recorded on previous units (Panasonic and Canon), are distorted when played back on this unit.

Try a DV tape cleaner first. If that doesn't work, see what it would take to get the audio heads realigned. Any camera store can do that for you.

Samsung SC D363 camcorder displays green wide lines on playback function what is wrong?

Sounds like dirty video heads which is going to require a mini dv cleaning tape to clean the heads and the tape path. Worst case scenario if cleaning doesnt help is that it may need the video heads replaced. I hope this helps.

I have a Samsung camcorder and when I play mini dv tape recordings from Canon camera I recorded on , the sound is distorted

If the tape plays correctly in the Canon camcorder, here are a couple of possible reasons for the issues you are having:

1. the Samsung camcorder has a cleaning issue - try running a dry head cleaning tape for about 5 to 10 seconds and see if that helps.

2. The alignment is off between the two different camcorders. Nothing you personally can do about that, but a repair center would be able to correctly align the tape path on both camcorders.

Do the tapes that you record on the Samsung have issues when you play them back on the Samsung? If so, you have a problem with that camcorder (may be cleaning, but could be a mechanism problem) Hope this has helped you. www.austintelstarservices.com

I have a samsung scd103 digital cam and when i record something it looks good on the screen while im recording it but when i play it back there are grey lines and distorted sound

Have you tried cleaning the recording heads? Use a dry type cassette cleaner only. It's just like a vcr head cleaner tape, only in the small mini-dv tape size.

SCD23 LCD screen tiles and so does the video upon playback.

Sonys jvc's samsungs all have their ccd imager problems, In your model however I have seen the connector on the ccd board detach itself from the pcb and just needs to be soldered back down.

SONY DCR-SR42 ACCESS RED LIGHT ON I bought a SONY DCR-SR42 from eBay in mint condition, I thought I could shoot on PRO Duo memory stick but I discovered you can only use it for photo and not for video so I looked for the USB cable to connect the internal HDD to my computer. At the moment I connected the camera, the LCD and the same camera turned off and even if I disconnected it, it won't turn on. I had to unplug the battery and the cable, I put back the battery and switched on the camera: a message appears on the screen just after the normal starting operation of "recover data", the message is "cannot recover data". The red light at the back of the camera with the ACCESS sign is always turned on, I tried to navigate the menus in every kind of way to access the hdd without succeeding, also tried to format it from the camera, also didn't work. I bought and replaced the HDD and the same error it's shown, I'm not able to format it or anything else and the same thing it's happening when I connect it to my computer to try access the disk and format it other ways. I discovered it' a kind of error, the E:31:00 as it appears flashing on the LCD, I red about this error on a blog called "videorecovery"(cannot post link) and I practically tried everything. I'm desperate about finding a solution to this problem but after buying the cable and a second not functioning HDD I wanna be sure of being effective so if anyone knows how I could solve this problem I'd really appreciate it.
