There are some great pre-made toy chests that are one of a kind on etsy.com; however, the chances of finding your childs name there can be quite slim.

Otherwise, you can go online to hayneedle.com and select from a variety of standard models.

My daughter got a woody doll is not saying anything. I have never gotten it to speak. The string works but nothing happens.

Hello, Stephanie -

If your daughter was given the Woody (from Toy Story) talking doll recently, I suggest you contact the person who gave it to her, explain the problem, and ask where he / she purchased it, so you can find out about the warranty on the toy. Reference to warranty information may have been printed on the box the doll came in, but you probably do not have that. :)

If the person who gave your daughter the doll still has the sales receipt, the doll COULD be taken back to the store where it was purchased and returned in exchange for a working one. Or, if the doll was purchased on line, the person who gave your daughter the doll could contact the seller and return it in exchange for a working doll.

I have found information online regarding a broken pull string to activate speech on the doll. See Fixya.com replies here:

Best wishes.

Should I buy a toy chest with or without a lid?

Both of these options have their own advantages and disadvantages. Personally, I prefer the way toy chests with lids look. If you opt to buy one with a lid it is important that you ask a few questions for your childs safety. The last thing you want is to have your child climb inside and get trapped. Look for one that when the lid is closed there is a gap between the lid and the box.

Every month I clean out my childrens toy chest and it seems to be more cluttered than the last time. I would really love to get it more organized. Can someone recommend a good way to organize a toy...

I recently organized my childrens toy chest and so far, it has stayed pretty controlled. Here's what I did - first empty out the box and divide the contents into categories (plastic toys, dolls, etc.). Next you will need some plastic containers with lids that will fit inside the chest and are stackable. Place the sorted and categorized toys into their designated boxes and stack inside the toy chest. You can make it an arts and crafts project with your kids to decorate the plastic bins so that they know what belongs where.

Should I store my childs toy chest in the yard?

It would not be good to store your toy chestin the yard unless it is completely waterproof or has been treated to protectit from the sun. Many of the modern plastic toy chests could be stored outdoorsbut you should ensure that no water can get in and damage you child belovedtoys.b>

How do I get the batter cover off a Leapster?!?!?!?!?

OK, after nearly breaking my daughter's leapster I have figured it out.

Use the coin and twist the little screw up. Then with the screw part closest to your chest, SLIDE the cover off AWAY from your chest. The batteries are located on the undercarriage of the cover. It takes "4" AA's

Hope this helps everyone!!!
