This tv has been a nightmare, its been down 3 times in 4 years.
Upon viewing the tv it looks as if someone is squeezing the picture inward from top to bottom, the three colors are bending and or not aligned. viewing a person's face i see 3 sets of all the facial features and 3 sets of the different colors. can anyone be so kind as to help me order the right replacement parts, thank you for yor time and expertise.

The convergence board, AA95-01799G is available from http://www.samsungparts.com for about 122 bucks + shipping. You also may need to get the service manual so you can do the convergence alighnments with this set when you replace the board. You will also need the manual to perform the perfect focus alighnment on this set if you have that feature. Good Luck

Remove front bottom panel behind it is a small black control box top controls are focus controls for R/G/B and Bottom 3 controls are your screen drives adjust one at a time turn off G/B adjust red first, then Do Green and Blue fter adjusting focu to each tube leave them set then adjust screen drive turn color off adjust RGB for a Black and white picture get as close as you can then turn color back If after doing this you still have blurry looking picture look down into Tubes you should be able to see picture clearly in each one if you cannot see picture then projection Fluid need to be changed out. Same sort of problem here. My red looks like it's pinched in the middle and is curving inward. The whole picture looks like you should have 3-D glasses. I've heard it's a problem with a convergence chip, but I have no clue how much that will cost to have someone come fix and we live in a rural area in MO. I'm sure that will jack up the price. Mine is only about 4 years old, I wonder how much I could sell it for (as is) and buy a new TV.
Sounds like it is a widescreen TV stuck in standard view mode.
Should have a menu option called widescreen or movie format.
Do you see the whole picture squeezed down or is it actually cutting off the sides of it?
I have a wild guess. I have the same tv and channel 72 is the proper channel to watch tv on. I don't know why, but maybe try channel 72 instead of the usual channel 3. Good luck, maybe a quick fix, maybe not!
