Hi: My office jet presents the fllowing mesages when I try to use the scan and copy features: "warming up" and then "scanner failure". I have done the partial re-set (unplugging while holding down the 3 and # buttons, pluging back in to power source and continuing to hold down the buttons until the machine begins the reset) and the simi-full reset (holding down the 6 and # keys for the same procedure). This cures the problem for a single copy and then the problem comes back. The lamp is on, the printer is warm, the room is not cold and the printer is plugged into a wall outlet. This was a very expensive machine that I'm othewise happy with. also I hate to contribute it to the landfill. Do you have any suggestions? Hope to hear from you. Thanks very much
It sounds like you've done all the troubleshooting properly. I would contact HP or search their website for other users that have had similar problems. Also might be a good idea to check HP's site for new drivers, they change almost daily :)

Hi:
My office jet presents the following message when I try to do a copy or when the printer does an autotest (when I put on the printer). The message is follow: "scanner failure, - close and restart the printer ". When I restart the printer and the same message becomes.
Then, printer function is working. I can print any document. The functions scanner; copy and fax don't work. I think that the problem comes from the hardware part of scanner.
Do you know how I can check or test any parts of scanner that they are failure?
Do you have any suggestions?
Hope to hear from you.
Thanks very much
The screen on the officejet reads scanner failure - Turn power off then on again. When I turn off and on again, the same message appears. I have tried to do a reset and partial reset by holding down the proper buttons, buth nothing changes. I am able to print from my desktop, but not able to send a fax or make a copy. Please help!!
after i shared this printer to my home network this problem happened. I don't know if this is a cause of this problem. please anyone can help me in solving this problem as i like this expensive machine. Hp support does not solve the problem.

We have many d155xi printers in my company; all of them have the same issue and I don't know yet what to do!!
