My NEW Brother MFC all in one printer jams everytime I try and print something out. This just started today. The paper seems to be loading crooked. On corner goes in perfect but the other corner doesn't. I have cleared the jam each time but it keeps on jamming. The machine has gone thru a cleaning cycle and I have made sure the paper is in the tray correctly--not to tight against the back of the tray, etc. Can any one help? Thanks

Great solution here,i was having the exact same problem to the point where i was going to send it back. When you select your paper under general setup on your printer, glossy, plain, inkjet.you must also select the same, glossy, plain, inkjet under printing preferences when you select what printer your going to use.

Re: Brother printer jams all the time
Be sure the paper tray is not over full and maybe even fan the paper before loading. Check all the corners that hold the paper as they are usually adjustable for different paper sizes and sometimes move or become unattached. The paper must lay flat and snugly in all places in the tray to load properly.

Sounds like there is something in the paper track that's causing this to jam. Its not always easy to get small particles cleared just by removing the jammed paper.
This may not help everyone that I send it to, but it is worth a try. I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time. Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs. Hope this helps. Bud
my brother mfc 7860 tells me i have a jam when i print envelopes only- there is no jam and will print the next 'page' fine- have to turn it on and off 4-5 times to get it to print one- any ideas anyone???
If you did not get ALL the jammed sheet out, there is still a small piece of paper in there somewhere, probably covering a sensor or micro switch. Get a torch and look carefully. If you don't find anything you may need to disassemble the printer to find it
I had this too, I had to open the back of the machine, it is meant to open and pull out and clear the jam (pull out the crinkled paper) but everytime I tried to print again it kept saying that it still had the jam, I opened and closed it several times and it did not seem to register that I HAD CLEARED THE JAM, so what I did was unplug it from the wall and then plug it back in and then it was fine. I wonder if this is AN ACTUAL DEFECT with this machine, if ater a paper jam it cannot detect that it has been resolved without having to unplug it and plug it back in, HOPE THIS WORKS FOR YOU.
