SOURCE: i need to replace presser bar lifter on elna 6000.

i poped the plastic covers on the back of the machine to expose the screws and unscrewed them. prying off the plastic cover was harder: the switch on the side is in the way. but eventually it pried off. to put it back i had to remove the plastic cover on the free arm first, since they fit like tongue and grove. so the top cover goes on first, then slip the free arm cover.

To replace the presser foot lever on an Elna 9000 Computer model sewing machine, follow these steps:

  2. Release the presser foot lever by pressing the button on the back of the presser foot lever and sliding the lever to the left.
  3. Remove the old presser foot lever by sliding it off the presser bar.
  4. Align the new presser foot lever with the presser bar and slide it into place.

How to fix a pressure foot lifter on a singer tradition

You can get a replacement Lifter from Sewing Parts Online here:

Most likely, the screw end on the machine has broken off.

My Brother 1034D Serger presser foot lifter just spins. I had read that its just glued into a little plastic piece. Has anyone had this same problem and if so did you just glue it back? Did it wor

I had the same problem a while back and ask here. I was told to take it to a tech. Not the answer I was looking for. I did some searching and found a diagram then knew what I needed. Here is my reply...

I just replaced mine. wasn't hard at all. I couldn't find just the plastic part, had to buy the whole thing. First it is called a Presser foot shaft assembly, part #xb0876001. You can buy it from Sew4Less.com and it cost me 25.57 with shipping. You will have to remove the front cover and take out the two screws holding the bar in. You will also need to remove the lifter bar and end panel to get the bar out. Insert your new part and replace the covers and lifter bar. This is how I fixed mine. Hope it helps.

How can I fix the knee lift that is very hard to push

how much srping tension do u have on presser ft. is the tension knob on top of machine screwed all the way down., never necessary by the way. next your arm attached to the knee lifter may be bent and not contacting the lifter bar for presser ft. get under machine and move knee lift with hand to see where contact is being made. bend accordingly. also the link from knee lift bar to link inside the back of the machine may be broken. u have to take off the back panel with all its screws. watch the gasket. you can replace the bar yourself since this will not intefer with the machine timing etc.

How do I change a pfaff 1222 presser bar lifter? I ordered a replacement part, but now I don't know how to remove it.

If you are lucky, your part will come with instructions. Each machine is a bit different but basically you have to get into the needle bar/presser foot bar area. If you are Lucky you can get to the lever assembly without having to take out a bunch of bars. But I've only ever seen that once on an industrial machine. So you take out the presser foot bar... to get to the lever. Use caution. You want to be sure you know where and how the parts fit in there. Take your time... take pics or make notes.

Good luck

Faulty presser foot lifter on a singer 2110/2112.

I have seen these machines with broken presser bar clamps (something inside the head). If it is just a bind then some oil on the presser bar may work, if the clamp is broken then it is probably not worth fixing.
Good luck!
